Forum Post: The V.A. is conducting medical experiments on Veterans using untested generic "meds"

When a government institution experiments on a vulnerable population without their consent or permission, isn't such an act criminal?

The FDA has allowed hundreds of generic drugs to remain on the market, despite the fact that the 3rd-party labs they hired to test them for efficacy and purity FAILED to do so: http://www.propublica.org/article/fda-let-drugs-approved-on-fraudulent-research-stay-on-the-market

The FDA refuses to disclose which medications these are.

The Department of Veterans Affairs insists on using cheap, generic medications on Veterans whenever possible, and has locked in contracts to achieve this. There may be NO data whatsoever to prove that many of these "meds" are even useful or pure AT ALL.

The only data being obtained FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME is on the general public and how their conditions respond to said generics.

Experimenting with medications on people without their informed consent is a CRIME, isn't it?!?

We lose SEVEN THOUSAND Veterans per year to suicide. Is there a connection here?

I concerned about this matter about Bradley Manning suddenly becoming Chelsea Manning. Not that deep down Bradley Manning wants to be women. If that is truly what he desires, kudos to him/her. But I can care less about that. What Manning wants happens to be only incidental to what concerns me.

The thing is Bradley Manning has been, and in all likelihood is still being, tortured. He is a person who has been beaten; psychologically reduced to a vegetable state. He’ll now say anything his captors want him to say. His last statements at his sentencing shows the point. The last words he spoke were so different from when he first spoke up. They were not the words of a popular hero who exposed the most repugnant war crimes of a government in recent history, but were the words of a person in total submission. The words he spoke were not his words. They were the words of his U.S. government captors spoken through their newly made puppet.

It was thus they, the government, who said Manning wants to be a women. It was only Manning’s lips that were moving. And they, the government, would oblige by turning him into one. Now does that make any sense? After the government went all their way to punish him; torture him, and gave him ump-teen years jail time. How could it be they would suddenly find sympathy to tend to some personnel disposition of his for a gender change? Ridiculous! They’re out to torture him more. Now with needles, injections, and other psychological what not, they are not going to turn Manning into woman. They are going to turn him into a Franken-freak hormone mess. They are embarking on a medical experiment as chilling as what Dr. Mengele did to his jewish patients some sixty years ago. “Yes that will teach all those whistleblowers out there, especially them gay whistleblowers,” I can hear them say as somebody flies over a cuckoo nest.

I agree - let Bradley do what he wants - but I don't see the government paying for the procedure as being legit. Anyone and everyone else would be told - Fine - that's what you want to do? - Do it when you are released from prison. The government that is punishing him - for being a traitor no less - the government is just not gonna help Bradley to follow his dream.

If anything it seems like the government is telling all of the would-be whistle-blowers not to expose the governments wrong doings as when they get ahold of them - well - they can do with them what ever they want to.

Well here's maybe ONE other connection, causing thirteen deaths:

More blood on the V.A.'s supremely incompetent hands.
