How do we feel about people in the 2% range, who are in the 99% but not quite in the 1%? Should I be mad at them as well? Maybe a little less angry than I am at the 1%? The math here is killing me.

Is there a sliding scale of resentment? Is there an app for that?

yes, you input your net worth and it uses facebook to calculate the net worth of the person you are inquiring upon and then it gives you the relative amount of resentment you should have.

cool. what if someone makes a good investment and goes up to the 1%, then blows the money and falls back below? how long does the 1% hatred linger?

My guess that is proportional to how long they held the profit.

So N = No * e^kt where k<0

it is only a little bit irrational, you know.

Well, 5% makes it whole milk, so make the top 5% pay for everything.
