Forum Post: The thing missing in these forums. IMHO this is a serious issue.

Get a bunch of people, that are intelligent, knowledgeable and opinionated, scare the shit out of them with rediculous legislation, and the threat of WWIII, and, well, you'll get pretty much what you see in these forums. ' Breath.

Take a long deep breath and remember the person your debating with, is just a desperate and determined as you. Breath. Take a moment, to forget about their viewpoint, and the debate itself, and remember we're all in this together and on the same side.

It's interesting to me that I posted a thread about trolls, and it gets over 200 replies.

I posted a thread, encouraging people to thank other occupiers for their efforts and it got less than 20.

WE ARE ON THE SAME SIDE!

JUST SAY THANK-YOU!

It really isn't that hard. Even if that's all you do, it will mean something. It will say, 'even if I disagree with your point, I don't disagree with you, or your support'.

Unity. Solidarity. The 99%.

The attitude of grattitude is something sorely lacking here IMHO, and something that needs desperate improvement. Encourage your fellow occupier, and encourage them to encourage others. Saying thanks on a post, even if that's all you say, is only 6 keystrokes, and could make the difference, between resolve, and apathy.

DO IT!!! It's NOT hard! Go on, just pick a thread and appreciate what that person is giving to our community, and as such to YOU personally, whoever, and wherever you are... Which brings me to my next thing...

Thank-you. Personally. For occupying, and trying to usher in a better world for me, and our community. Thank-you.

thanks for the great comment. there is too much disagreement, ego, not enough listening.

Yes, but it also to be somewhat expected. One thing many people have in common here is their determination and passion. Overall excellent qualities, so we can expect this as a bi-product of that. The people already are united. We just need to realise what already is.
