One thing I am currently alarmed about is the disenfranchisement of student and minority voters. The Republicans are going out of their way to make it difficult for them to vote. Of course, the grand plan is to have the Democrats lose so many votes that the next president will be a Republican. This is downright dispicable and I can't believe that they got as far as they did with this.

This is practically a throw back to Jim Crow laws. OWS, we need to speak out against this. I am an Independent who can't believe the freedoms that are being taking away from us right before our very eyes. Please, please we must address this in some way. We can't let this go on. We must make our voice heard about this.

Let's be very vigilant and not have our rights taking away from us right under our very noses. Don't allow yourself to get lost in the many distractions put out there, so you never see the sneaky things being done behind the backs of the American people, that would be against the will of the people if they had the chance to exercise their voice.

Down with these laws that although they have a purpose (to end voter fraud) they also have a hidden agenda in the hands of those who want to disinfranchise groups of people because they know they will vote a certain way. This b.s. needs to be investigated and put an end to.

I hear what you are saying, but I am a legal immigrant and a naturalized citizen. So I got no problem with requiring ID to vote. I worked for mine. You gotta worry if every person just visiting this country for a month, or a tourist or somebody just temporarily to study, or somebody not from the US can vote in our elections. That is not their right, they have their own country to vote in.

This would absolutely be tragic if they (The GOP) got away with this.
