For all the talk about the rich on this forum, what folks don't understand is that the 'rich' bought Italian Chateaus back in the 1980's, Bill Gates has his own Island south of Kaui, HI.

The plan is that USA which has always been a colony revert to such, given its vast coal reserves the USA has no other place in the future than that of an open-pit coal mine. This is why NOT a dollar is being spent on USA infrastructure.

Nobody on earth that is truly rich has any intention of living in the USA in the future, its just a colony of white-trash labor, and the largest prison on earth.

Read the book 'America What Went Wrong" ( Bartlette&Steele), written in the 1980's, way back then all private pensions were stolen. Today the public employee pensions are being stolen. By the end of this year there will be nothing left to steal. Just a few months ago Corzine the paymaster of Elect Obama 2008 stole $3billion from USA farmers.

It's all gone, and the money wired off-shore.

The only people left in the USA, are the poor and stupid, to fight over the bills that have to be paid.

Sounds like it's comming from someone who wishes they were from America to me.

I agree-but South America with it's vast territories and low population-around 250 mill for the entire continent-will be the next 10,000acre estate refuge for the power elite along with the South Pacific-the elite gangsters no doubt have stolen billions, possibly trillions, in tax dollars

South America a BRIC country is definitely the next 'refuge' and I recall reading somewhere that none other than the Bush family purchased tons of acreage somewhere in Latin America. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it was in Brazil?

I've heard these plans for decades-you can even find it in pop culture-the '79 film Winter Kills is a zany story about the super rich and the power elites. John Hustons character says, as he is falling down the side of a building and tearing a huge American flag down the middle, "put all our money in South America son" The son, played by Jeff Bridges, just aided in pushing him off the building. The film is based on a book written by John Condon who also wrote the Manchurian Candidate.

B is for Brazil, South America is not a country but rather a portion of a continent. Focusing on what others are doing not relating to our current issues without a reason or connection to now and how to fix the situation is simply mental masturbation. The more interesting note, and the reason I am reading your reply is because of BRICS. Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa. They have been talking about formulating a replacement for the dollar as the international currency. See the last set of wars we waged was it. The rest of the world is tired of war. The new competition between countries and corporations will be economically and has been for quite some time now. How do you think we got here? Casualties of the new format. What does it mean for the future of the dollar? Our economy? World Power? Those are far more important matters of BRICS. Thats just my opinion though.

Whoops and thanks for the correction (yes, I'm aware of South America being a continent as Africa is too and comprised of many countries too.) Anyway, thanks for the link and yes, I am of the opinion that the greater issues concern economic competition and Jim Rogers et al are 'spot on' with respect to this analysis see: www.jimrogers.com and read his ground level reports from his 'Millenium Adventure' and, as a 1%er he too is living in Singapore as OWSLeader2016 says many very wealthy have and are moving to along with other places mentioned. BTW: If you click OWSLeader2016's user ID he says we're 'dead' in 2016 which I don't think so just like I doubt that we'll all be speaking Chinese in 2020.

Marc Faber in ChiangMai ( thailand ) , ...

Anybody that could have left did leave long ago, ...

You folks know why Rogers left? They stole $300M from his personal account and the NYC bankster's wouldn't even help him, ... so he moved his money, life, and family to Singapore.

They stole $300M from his money-market account, I'm not even talking about risk here, this is like Madoff, when they start stealing from the rich, you know the system is fucked, and this is why the rich left .... long ago.

Well the plan by most of these guys is to buy as much farm-land in the USA as reasonable and sit on it for 20+ years and give it to their grandchildren as a gift, ... its expected post-civil war that food and grain and farm land become invaluable in the USA and all else worthless.

Paraguay 100,000 acres beside a massive fresh water lake.

White trash labor? So what are the non whites going to do?

[-] -1 points by owsleader2016 (12) 12 years ago

My prediction is the USA will become a large whore house for Asian tourists.

The non-whites can be madame's and/or pimp's or offer security to the visiting 'rich' asians.

I can't see these kind of paranoid conspiracy notions having much validity. If anything the opposite would seem to be the case especially in large cities that also serve as culture centers and that are increasingly difficult for the poor or even the middle class to be able to afford. Who, after all, can afford to go to a Broadway show, much less the rent on a Manhattan apartment?

[-] -1 points by owsleader2016 (12) 12 years ago

The rich have long had 'private boxes' at sporting events.

Today the rich have the venue all to themselves.

The poor and middle-class (extinct) are not wanted.

The rich have always by definition lived in a cocoon,

Remember that during the last great-depression in the USA 1929->1942 the rich weathered the storm in Paris. Today the Rich weather the storm in Hong Kong, or Singapore.

But you talking about the price of tickets for entertainment is just a strawman to distract the OP,

The rich MUST be entertained,

Only those that HAVE to live in the USA live there,

Most rich executives I know who have to work in the USA keep their family's in chateaus in Italy, or Spain.

You could use the same argument about expensive restaurants.

The issue here is that in the last 50 years income disparity is huge, there are ton's of millionaires, but most have no savings. The majority are poor slaves in debt.

Why even talk about the rich and how they spend money? Its boring.

The OP here is the plan's for the future of the USA.

I see the USA being a slave colony, whose only purpose is to store the worlds nuclear waste and garbage and be an open-pit mine, given the USA has the largest coal deposits on earth. There is enough coal in the USA to supply the world with 300 years of liquid energy.

[-] 1 points by economicallydiscardedcitizen (761) 12 years ago

In the last 50 years income disparity has become huge as has deterioration due to lack of maintenance/misappropriation of funds that should have gone to our infrastructure. Now, much of what OWSleader2016 says coincides with my own observations but the part about Coal is something that really does not stand out for me because I know that we have vast capped and untapped reserves of Oil, mineral and Metal resources and, lands where these exist are more broadly owned by the US Government (for example, did you know that something like 75% of the US State of Nevada is Government lands and, while the land lacks water for agricultural purposes much of it is rich in veins of Silver, Gold and other metal and mineral resources needed by modern industry. I know this only because of a recent search for information about land for sale from the BLM -Bureau of Land Management that turned up a number of online discussions with helpful links.)

Also, there is much billboard advertising about Mining and frequently overheard talk of mining jobs opening up in places like Tonopah, NV not to mention plans to move Nevada from a gambling economy base to a more diversified economy supporting many industries starting with transportation(ie:as an expanded distribution hub.)

PS:Somehow I have a difficult time believing that Americans will allow the dire scenario of becoming a Coal Pit and den of poverty envisioned by OWSLeader 2016 but of course anything is possible existing on the margins of dubious speculation.

[-] 0 points by owsleader2016 (12) 12 years ago

The USA contains the largest deposit of high quality coal on earth. Enough coal to supply all the world's energy needs for more than 300 years at today's rate of rape&pillage and waste.

Google "USA military energy stockpile", learn about US MIL longterm strategic planning.

The people who run this earth and OWN the USA don't give a fuck about the environment and they don't live in the USA and don't intend to.

"De plane, Bill, de plane!!"

[-] -1 points by owsleader2016 (12) 12 years ago

The world agree's what is wealth.

1.) OIL

2.) Drugs - Cocaine, Pot, ... Opium

3.) Human Blood

4.) Human Organs

5.) Gold, Silver, ... precious metals ... jewels

6.) Food

7.) Land, if in the right place where people want to live.

The 1-7 above have value. Paper money has no value intrinsically.

[-] -2 points by owsleader2016 (12) 12 years ago

My point is that the entire OWS debate since day one here has been 'steal from the rich", ... redistribute their wealth to 'us'.

What I'm telling you folks is there is nothing left to steal, ... its all gone. The USA is bankrupt and your 'rich' and their money are long gone from USA shores.
