Here it is. I'm so not kidding. This is amazing and perhaps better than ANYTHING else out there right now. We need to adopt it pronto. It will give us a platform to build even more awesome stuff on. We should at least seriously consider it. After all, it can help us gain a level and give us more time to build a better platform, all while finally shutting the media up when they claim that we have nothing substantial to say.

THE NEW COMMON SENSE - http://pastebin.com/gm2UV08D This document: 1) Demands that the illegal 4th Branch of the Federal Government, "The Special Interest Branch" be expelled from unfair influence in DC immediately. 2) Explains how the three branches of the Federal government have violated the Constitution. 3) Lays out a detailed plan on how to repair the Constitution and force the government to uphold it again by taking an audit and inventory of it, rooting out all that is unconstitutional. Then we can either decide as a people to make it constitutional, give it back to the states or to the people at the local level... or if nobody wants it, throw it out because it must not be good for anybody in that case.

By doing that, we can automatically address every one of our issues automatically.

I believe that the document is brilliant and fully compatible with the 99% Declaration, all of our issues and grievances, and anything else we come up with.

It's the foundation, the first word. It is every bit as amazing as Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" and if adopted, could lead to the same result: actual, real change.

It's a must read. It's loophole free and it fully explains itself. Please take the time to read and share and discuss this most important document that has appeared on the scene and is spreading like wildfire.

It's a true gift to Occupy. I just hope and pray that we accept it and use it and add it to our toolbox.

It is designed, also, to be a "toolkit". Separate Section I from Section II and one has a complete description of what happened and a plan on how to fix it. Section I also gives a petition (that can also be separated) and more. Section II can be used for statements, press releases, much more.

"We must state that we already understand the historical truth that whoever fires the first shot often loses the war." - from The New Common Sense

(P.S. An additional statement from the authors that they seem to be using to reply to certain public posts as well can be found here: http://pastebin.com/DVpHCsHs )

Word is the author(s) are working on a revised version, based on the feedback they are seeing on the net and perhaps from some GA groups/meetings around the country. This is good, their seems to be a couple type-o's and maybe just tidy it up a bit is all I think it needs. The message is good and I am sure that will stay the same. I know people are liking the document and sharing / spreading it around. I think the power in it is that it appeals to people from all walks...unless you really just want to burn everything down and rebuild...this "The New Common Sense" is something we haven't tried...not like this ...a powerful document, submitted to government. This forces them to come clean...at least it puts them on notice. It could show them we are smarter than they think and we are willing to at least try to FORCE change and we are at our wits end...get the message ?

I agree with this, The Constitution is all We The People have ever really had to force change. Leaders have sworn to uphold it. Now let's make them do their job. At least give it a shot. I've been following this document and promoting it. I've heard some say it is pointless to present this to our leaders and the 1%, I could say this entire movement is pointless. Neither is true. Let's do our job and tell them we demand they keep their promise and uphold the Constitution. I've signed it and I am an Occupy protestor.

demands backed up with a credible threat. Have you read the 99% Declaration? https://sites.google.com/site/the99percentdeclaration/

That declaration document needs a lot more work including spell check, & accurate terminology. Thanks for posting it though I like to see that a thoughtful path out of this mess is being formed collectively. I like this New Common Sense doc though bc it doesn't spread itself too thin & is more focused upon fixing what got us into this mess, massive corruption in government due to special interest, lobbying/bribing, conflict of interest, shady campaign funds, undue influence by corporations, etc.

Still haven't read CS yet. The idea of coming together to meld all these great ideas is what i like about the Philly NGA concept. Oh, and the warning part, that resolve thing at the end. Yea i really like that part ; )
