NC Labor Laws: How Much better can it Get?
NC Wage and Hour Act of 1979 follows suit with Majority Federal Laws..
1) rest breaks and meal breaks are NOT required for any employee over 16
2) there is no limit to the amount of overtime an employer can request and no requirement of notice inclusive of any possible re-scheduling including same day OT
3) the U.S.A. is at will employment, meaning outside of 1) ethnic bias or 2) retaliation for complaint to a government office, an employer can fire you at any time for any reason
YET: your wages will be auto-drafted for child support in any situation involving medicaid or other government involvement of the child and roughly 60 of 300 of today's inmates in this county are in jail for failure to pay support... court action can be be brought after 1 month's failed payment...

Damn straight - and I miss Her too. We must be doing something right - troll attacks are soaring these last couple of days. That makes me feel so warm inside.

I know she had some issues that needed attention and I hope and pray that she is doing ok and is just for now taking care of needed business.
F'nA - yeah they are nuts - I have not seen the trolls this worked up for awhile. They made sure to tell me today that they are out to discredit me. As if that could matter - when there are more than a few million that feel the same way I do about greed corruption and white collar crime.
I wouldn't worry about it. It's more a compliment than anything. They did not like May Day nor the announcement of the June 20 demonstration for a Living Wage. That is very scary to them. God forbid Americans should earn enough money to live on.
And, I hope HitGirl returns soon. I miss nucleus, too, and therising. Where did therising go?
This mystifies me I never got an inkling that therising was gonna disappear. This does worry me more then a little. I had not had much knowledge of nucleus.
As for the troll declaration on me? I feel all warm and fuzzy. My record is available to anyone who would care to look - all the way Back To Oct. 2011.
I PM'd both nucleus and therising and have heard nothing. Hope they are okay. Both are brilliant. Check out nucleus' posts. He was very good on the economy, in particular taxes.
I trust your judgement but also promise to have a look. It bothers me no little bit when skilled and brilliant people just disappear. I have sent messages to ZenDog too and have heard nothing back. I do not like this.

I think many times that the stress here can be something hard for some good people to deal with on a constant basis and then they need to recharge. I can understand and relate. I just try to make a game out of some of the nasty's.
