I was thinking about Noe and the covenant of the rainbow, after the flood, when I asked myself, "Who do we appease by sacrifice and what do we offer to curb the ignorance and stupidity of conservatives, who unchecked will surely kill themselves and take the righteous with them?"
With our Tower of Babel [made so by commercialization/advertising] Internet, and most for profit communications, getting the word out is still easy enough but it's so distorted most of the time communication is unintelligible.
In Genesis 11, the people made bricks and began to built a tower to heaven. God feared they would succeed so he confounded them by changing speech from a single language to many. The city, called Babel, was abandoned and the people dispersed. Not much more is said and the chapter continues with the generations of Sem, starting two years after the flood. It concludes with Thare taking his son Abram (and Sarai) and his grandson Lot "and brought them out of Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Chanaan: and they came as far as Haran, and dwelt there."
I hope you aren't counting on the god of Abraham to confound the conservatives, who are building their tower to heaven by impoverishing and enslaving the rest of us with debt. For one thing it's our masters who're making language and communication unintelligible by disinformation lies, spin and just plain bullshit.
