Please dont forget ...We hate the gop too!

They were gonna do it anyway keystone didn't go through by one vote...and they promised to revisit...because yeah people like mary landdrieu really stuck up for environmental ideals. Phhlt

" Senator Mary L. Landrieu, Democrat of Louisiana, who is facing a runoff election Dec. 6, had pleaded with her colleagues throughout the day to support the pipeline, leading to a rare suspense-filled roll call in the Senate. But she was ultimately rebuffed and fell short by one. The bill was defeated with 59 votes in favor and 41 against, and Ms. Landrieu needing 60 votes to proceed.

The vote was also a reflection of how a once-obscure pipeline blew up into a national political battle between environmentalists and the oil industry. Although the TransCanada company proposed the pipeline in 2005, it generated so little attention that Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was poised to approve it in 2011 with little fanfare.

The Keystone (dog whistle name) pipeline will pass next year with the RepugnantCONs. If the DemoCRAPS would have won this election, they would have passed it too. The DemoCRAPS would have had to prissy it up under the guise of a "Job Creation" bill to cover their tracks. Then they have the MSM Cheerleaders push the patriotic slant on Keystone. Wrap the American flag around the energy independence angle and "any American that doesn't support Keystone is an unpatriotic traitor, who supports ISIS oil". Right out of chapter 8 of the Duopoly Playbook. You know the drill.

Of course since the RepugnantCONs won, the Duopoly wouldn't dare pass up an opportunity of political theater grandstanding. The usual Good cop/Bad cop roll play stuff. It's always a nice touch to have a few of the DemoCRAPS ham it up on Capitol Hill, I mean Capital $hill. Make a big production out of them yelling and screaming in a heated Duopoly farce battle. Then you Newswire a few clips for AP and Reuters to pipeline to the MSM for mass worker bee consumption.

If TPTB want Keystone, they're going to get it. After all, the DemoCRAPS and RepugnantCONs are the best Politicians money can buy.

There is no legitimate argument that Cons aren't awful, disastrous and/or evil on science, pollution, externalities and the environment. On that deficit they have no equal. In fact you can't name an issue, policy or philosophy that Cons aren't awful, disastrous and/or evil on.

Dem or liberal or progressive issues in Measures or Propositions largely WON ~ legalization of Pot, higher minimum wages, etc..

But people who Vote Dem largely didn't bother to participate, allowing Cons in some districts to win on Votes as low as 18%. The Voter Turnout has not been this low since the height of WW-2.

The reason for the silence is twofold: the transparent success of the 1%-Cons at Playing the Left, undecideds and easily confused to abandon the democratic process; and the terrifying realization by Non-Voters that they just fucked themselves BIG TIME and/or that they got so totally Played!

Of course to some quiet unicorn chasers, having a 1%-Con controlled Congress and Judiciary can only be improved by a Jeb Bush POTUS, "because THEN people will finally see the need for UNICORNS!!!"

Non-Partisan drum circle anybody?!?

I still hold that OWS committed suicide more than was taken out by the GOP, their decision to stick their heads in the sand and not pick sides in the great struggle for real power in the nation led to it making a bunch of nice talking points for the talking heads, but unlike the Tea Party which has greatly affected policy by being very certain about which side they favor OWS has had zero affect on actual policy, indeed since OWS started the rich have gotten richer at an increasing rate it is as if people expect it now, wealth inequality is now the accepted norm, thanks to OWS.

[-] 1 points by JPB950 (2254) 9 years ago

I agree, but from the very start OWS bristled at the idea of being the progressive tea party. Back then they could have recruited candidates with beliefs similar to Warren or Sanders all across the country and run them in primaries. Maybe make a bad system better or at lest more responsive. The anarchists misread the situation, too many in the majority wanted improvement not revolution.

[-] -3 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

I think the Greens saw an opportunity and like all political hacks didn't give a damn about what happened to the country if they thought they could build their party. At least the meetings I went to here in Phoenix were infected with Greens and the forum certainly is.

[-] 0 points by WSmith (2698) from Cornelius, OR 9 years ago

The TeaBaggers were a Trojan Horse-Like construct of the 1%-Cons, and thus had all the support they needed to assume effect. Just a bunch of Yahoos and Toadies doing what they're told: Sabotage government! Sabotage the Black POTUS in the White House. Sabotage Dems.

"OWS committed suicide?" Maybe, if only they didn't lead a bunch of followers into political impotency and effectively Eric Garner-ing them politically. This apathy, disengagement, masochistic delusion, has Eric Garnered nearly all Liberal Progress for the foreseeable future. Nice going Non-Voters! Way to fuck the country, just like the banksters, with your arrogant and selfish Idiocracy! Accident? or Mission Accomplished? What difference does it make? Generally afflicted self Sabotage!

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

No doubt the people funding the Tea Party were not stupid enough to act in such a way to cause Dems to be elected as OWS has done in reverse, but they did act within the GOP primaries to push the GOP to the right, I understand they had funding to do so, but if OWS had started right from the beginning doing the same thing to the Dems the world would already be a very different place, but that wouldn't help the stinking Greens so there were people involved to make sure that didn't happen.

[-] 0 points by WSmith (2698) from Cornelius, OR 9 years ago

Of course "no doubt the people funding the Tea Party were not stupid enough to act in such a way to cause Dems to be elected!" It was a strategic maneuver, counter espionage, fraud. AS I'm feeling OWS was. It does not take a genius to see what good OWS could have done.

[-] 1 points by factsrfun (8310) from Phoenix, AZ 9 years ago

OWS was copied from places where the governance is set up differently and it had basis in truth I think that is why support was so high, but the truth became inconvenient and was abandoned in the interest of some fake non partisan bullcrap meanwhile the Greens were invited in to spread their cancer and as folks saw that, they left.

[-] -1 points by WSmith (2698) from Cornelius, OR 9 years ago

Are you sure? It was easy to say the right things then and it was following the protest against the Big$$ Heist that fucked us in 2008, that the TeaBaggers were initially bitching about (The 1%-GOP, having inside knowledge, got a head start on that one ~ strangely), and a successful 2010 propaganda campaign in the same vein, Obama regret. Nevermind the unprecedented sabotage and obstruction, NEVER MIND IT!!!! Post exuberance and abject failure, time to re-evaluate. We got trouble in Dodge.
