Forum Post: The GOP Hates Your Children

Posted 11 years ago on April 27, 2013, 12:30 p.m. EST by shoozTroll (17632)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

At least if your child lives in Michigan.

Like Exxon, they HATE them if their parents aren't rich.

"Just when we start to think Republicans can’t possibly get any meaner, they do something else to take our breath away. Kathleen Gray from the Detroit Free Press reports that Michigan’s Republican-led House Appropriations subcommittee passed a budget that would require drastic cuts for an already eviscerated Department of Human Services. The proposed budget would have cut 1,000 DHS jobs, made 211,496 people ineligible for food assistance, cut $546,000 in disability assistance, and snatched $15 million from the foster care program — meaning 550 children would be forced to return to dangerous family situations."

Part of the ALEC plan to profitize prisons?

It would seem to be as good a plan to fill them, as any.

No one hates your children, it's worse, they just don't care.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Kinda like you, perhaps?

Shallow and a bit vapid?

Or do you simply agree that the GOP shouldn't care?

After all, this isn't a comment that even pretends to have an understanding of the information provided.

[-] 2 points by MsStacy (1035) 11 years ago

Like me? Shallow? Vapid? Perhaps or perhaps not, it isn't about me.

It isn't hatred it's simple greed and self interest that enables these cuts to get passed. If you're going to fight something it might be good to know the actual motivation of people.

[-] -3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I have named them in other threads.

I get called names for doing that....

But perhaps you can speak to the motivations of.....I don't know......How about DeVos?

[-] 4 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

The democrats hate you just as much.

[-] -1 points by linden (-16) 11 years ago

more.

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

I think it more proper to say the elitists/corpoRATists - they transcend all boundaries/parties there are way to many in government and in government appointed positions.

That being said - Who at this point in time are the most visibly obvious of such that are in office????

[-] 3 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

no no my friend, say it with me "the democrats are the republicans".

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

No you.

Would you like me to provide you with a few of the facts that show otherwise?

Can you show where they are doing this?

Can you show where they are forcing teachers to teach creationism?

You can't and you know it.

[-] 2 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

you are kidding right? i mean the joke is on you if you think the democrats are not the republicans.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Only one of them qualifies as a cult.

http://www.alternet.org/media/right-wing-cult-machine-exposed

Only one of them is incapable of writing their own legislation.

http://www.alecexposed.org/wiki/ALEC_Exposed

http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php/Portal:State_Policy_Network

So you see, it's you who is fooling himself.

[-] 4 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

Wow, you are a fool. Voltaire was right after all "It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere."

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Voltaire was a "right winger"?

How does this statement negate a single thing I said?

I just barely scratched the surface here.

You could help by demonstrating a democrat that's actively promoting the forced teaching of creationism in public schools.

fool.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Fool.

As usual, this doesn't address what I asked you to demonstrate.

It merely demonstrates the marketing prowess of certain religious interests.

[-] 2 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

if 2/3 of america supports creationism that means democratic lawmakers do to. if you care to take the time you can surely go to the louisianna and tennessee state government websites to see all the democrat names you want to see. i don't have the time to do your research for you. lazy fool. they didn't get through both states legislators with no democratic support.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

So you just assume and spout off?

Now that's lazy.

[-] 2 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

no actually i read the bipartisan support comments in the news articles dealing with louisianna and tennessee and since i live in memphis i actually know what is going on in tennessee. i am just not going to look up the names for you if you would like feel free to do so. names are irrelevant the bottom line is there is no difference between the two parties when it comes down to it.

[-] -2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

I would have to believe then, that you fully endorse the actions of ALEC in Tennessee.

Although on the other hand you never did prove your statement. Not even close.

Have fun with Jesus on a dinosaur.

but please understand that this is quite simply a demonstration of the institutionalized dumbing down of the US education system.

Ignorance is bliss and easily manipulated.

Can you say thank you conse(R)Vatives?

WE want to be dumb and have even dumber children.

I call teaching this crap as real science a form of child abuse.

And it should be punishable.

PS: I sure hope I never read a single statement from you about the constitution.

[-] 3 points by quantumystic (1710) from Memphis, TN 11 years ago

once again wake up its not just the conservatives.

[-] -3 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Repeating a lie, doesn't make it so.

Unless it's on FLAKESnews.

Like i said, have fun with Jesus on a dinosaur.

Lyin' Ryan. He got that name for a very good reason.

He lies, without compunction.

I agree with what you say, but would add the weight of the kinds of legislation they enact, especially in the States.

There is no equivalent of ALEC and the SPN on the left.

Not even close.

Unbelievable???? Have a look. I bout fell off my chair.

There are some members of Congress who want you to ignore the findings of more than 13,000 peer-reviewed scientific studies and the National Academy of Sciences.

The science is pretty clear that dangerous carbon pollution made by humans is contributing to drastic, eyebrow-raising climate change.

But according to House Speaker John Boehner and others in Congress, those scientists have it all backward. Some have even called it "emotional junk science," or (and this is my favorite) making a big deal about something that's "just the weather." We all know that we're not going to make progress on climate change unless climate deniers in Congress are publicly called out and held accountable.

This is where we come in, and we're just getting started -- join the group of OFA supporters who will fight climate denial in Congress:

http://my.barackobama.com/Hold-Climate-Deniers-Accountable

We don't just want to embarrass these guys -- we need to change the conversation on climate change in Washington.

Getting the deniers to explain themselves is just the start.

Get ready -- more soon.

Thanks,

Ivan

What cuts are in other programs in Michigan? From what I am hearing, they are pretty cash-strapped across the board.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Like in Wisconsin, they are pretending. They did TAX the crap out of me first thing.

now they continue their attack on children and education.

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/05/buena-vista-michigan-school-district-closes-doors-has-no-money-despite-teachers-willing-to-work-for-free.html

They are the worst thing you can imagine.

They are Destroying Democracy one State at a time.

Have they bought yours yet?

[-] 0 points by highlander21 (-46) 11 years ago

Would that program be run perhaps through the Department of Corrections?

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

So you're saying they already bought your State?

Or they've thrown most it in prison?

Here they are still Stealing from children.

http://www.eclectablog.com/2013/05/take-action-michigan-republicans-aiming-to-carve-another-770-million-from-schools-to-pay-for-roadbridge-repairs.html

They have no morals, they are Koch backed teabagge(R)s, who lie at every opportunity.

[-] 0 points by highlander21 (-46) 11 years ago

Florida Department of Corrections has a re-entry program for adults inmates; the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice has an education program as an integral part of its rehabilitation process. Perhaps Michigan is reducing reduncancy.

They know full well what cutting all those jobs will do.

That's why they're doing it.

More apropos to shove their face in the toilet.

[-] -2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Yep - those who would deny that fact are blind.

One of the classes that is waging war on the majority of the worlds population ( correction wagging war on all life ) - IS - THE LIVING DEAD = CorpoRATions and the parasites that run them.

[-] -2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Hell - they hate their own children - their actions adversely affect their children too - denial does not change that fact it just makes it easier for them to keep on doing what they are doing.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

That's what crazy people do.

Psychotic, neoplexics.

We need a pill for that.

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Proper public health - to protect the public from the insane.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Proper public health is not profitable.

It will never have an IPO.

[-] -1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 11 years ago

Part of the cure - it should never be about money - endeavors should be undertaken for the endeavor itself - the aim being that the endeavor - whatever it is - BE HEALTHY - Healthy for all involved in the endeavor - Healthy for society/world = being that it should not pollute.

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Still don't think all of this doesn't have deep roots to Nixon?

Here's one of his top advisers.

A cyanide/suicide pill.........

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

we better get busy.

They've even employed Adobe to "target" your marketing "needs"

http://phys.org/news/2013-04-adobe-social-tool-hyper-targeting.html

It's still in beta, but that won't last too much longer. It's the ultimate ( for now ) data mining tool.

[-] -2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

So, we should run all kinds of confusing shit on social media?

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

This is the first I've seen of this software, and it's still in beta testing.

Perhaps if there are any programers left around here, they could give us more information, about what it may ultimately be capable of?

To be effective, it's already going to have to sort through all the confusing shit on social media.

[-] -3 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

I haven't posted anything this morning. I could start a thread and see where it goes?

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

You could try. I have some stuff to do today and won't be around for long.

It appears that Adobe is becoming very active in the data mining field.

I always wondered how the "cloud" would be used against us.

No, we just hate lazy welfare sucking liberals, who refuse to work

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 11 years ago

Sorry, liberals tend to both be more educated and have a higher rate of employment than the average American, and certainly more than bigoted, grade-school drop outs.

[-] -3 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Ah, you know what? I didn't make it two lines into the article and I thought, I just read this over at Electablog and then I saw the mention

Prisons? Famine genocide?

[-] -1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 11 years ago

Everything they are doing here is ultimately destructive.

Destroying Democracy, one State at a time.

[-] -3 points by GirlFriday (17435) 11 years ago

Yep.
