Proposal before the Committee: A game of Cards

I would like to propose a game. A card game. We will call it . . .

The Galted Repelican.

We begin with a deck of cards, presumably 52 but not necessarily 52, since the suit of Hearts will be absent - repelicans are after all, utterly heartless. Embossed upon the deck will be the faces of prominent repelicans.

Aye sayz the sharp ol' timer in the last row who sees exactly where we are going with this . . . card deck extravaganza . . .

I would suggest the Koch brothers as the Queen of Clubs, depicted as a two headed queen or using two suits of clubs to make up for the absent suit of hearts.

And that Grover Norquist whose name is absent from the ranks at the Vile Plutocrat - perhaps the Jack of Spades for that vile knave . . .

The essence of the game is of course the production of accidents with reward according to card rank, ambiguity and success of design. I mean, after all,

why not?

When a railroad can experience two accidents in less than 48 hours at the same time it is engaged in negotiating an expanded corridor in the heart of Washington DC

Everybody's Doing It!

All that is required for this game is the ability to engage in rumor and wild speculation - principle skills among the far right crowd. That and even a single accident will inevitably produce such a frenzy of fevered speculation that the whole world will know and come to appreciate this uniquely American pass time.
