To put a face on the greed and callousness that many are now protesting, Andrey Pogudin is a banker with the Royal Bank of Scotland. He does not pay ONE PENNY in child support for his son, the most amazing kid any father could hope for. He stopped paying his child support long ago, and after HE initiated a lawsuit, hiring a high-priced lawyer to sue the deeply devoted mother of his child to secure a child support payment of just over $1K/mo., an amount of $ any banker on Wall Street would scoff at. He did this knowing full well that his son's mother and only caregiver ever was unemployed, left her job at Andrey Pogudin's urging to care for their son, so, if Andrey Pogudin is any reflection of the mentality on Wall Street, please do not expect any concern for the unemployed, for children who are being raised by unemployed parents!!! Andrey Pogudin pays NOTHING for his son's food, clothing, housing, healthcare, yet recently he went on another one of his extravagant adventures, climbing some mountain in the Arctic and having his name published everywhere online because he craves attention, stating that his expedition was carried out, in part, to raise money for sick children in Russia (would be laughable if it weren‘t so hurtful). He does not support his own son, does not even respond to messages about his own son when his little boy has been ill, but he can hold himself out as some saint who cares for other men's ill children and raises money for them! This is a man who is the poster boy for greed and selfishness. Let me be very clear, there are a lot of fathers on Wall Street, many bankers working in the City of London, and I am sure that the majority of those are not so disgustingly neglectful with their own children, no matter how distasteful some may view their profession, the manner in which they earn their money. But Andrey Pogudin is the epitome of greed and hypocrisy, a man who would horde his big banker's salary and refuse to even pay for his own son's food when their are unemployed mothers and fathers out there who want nothing more than to find a job to provide for their kids. No attempt will be made anytime soon to get that money from Andrey Pogudin. He clawed and he scratched to get out of Russia, to climb his way up the banking ladder, and the hedonistic lifestyle he lives is his choice. But his son is being raised to be a decent, caring, concerned citizen who will one day go on to be a loving husband and a devoted father. You can't put a price on that outcome, and all the money in the world isn't worth a kid's happiness. His son will get by just fine without this greedy, neglectful banker's money. But it is just a more personal example of one banker and the qualities that are hurtful to society as a whole.
