Forum Post: The Corporate Charter Is The Enemy!

Posted 12 years ago on Dec. 10, 2011, 1:51 a.m. EST by GypsyKing (8708)

The corporate charter, with it's prevention of placing any humanitarian consideration above profit, is the enemy. No matter where we take this fight that one single consideration must never leave our minds. We must never become distracted from that single unifying truth. Because until that problem is solved, none of our other efforts can bare lasting fruit.

I'm with you there, Gypsy. Corporations are vampiric, by definition.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

I like that word, vampiric. That says it all.

For a true insight into the internal rationale, dynamic and essential nature of "The Corporation", please set some time aside to watch Mark Achbar's excellent and very highly regarded 2003 documentary.

Thanks for these links. There is no question in my mind that this is where America fundamentally went wrong - the change from a genuine free market economy to an oppressive, monopolistic, corporate tyranny that came to userp our genuine democracy.

[-] 1 points by shadz66 (19985) 12 years ago

@ GK : You're welcome. Democracy has been rendered into 'demoCRAZY deMOCKERYcy by "The International Banking Corporations" in particular, who 'thanks' to "Corporate Personhood" have all the essential characteristics of a "Psychopath" whilst engaged in behaviours which affect everyone.

For an insight into "the mind of a 0.01%er AND 'The Corporation', please watch the excellent and insightful documentary "I.Psychopath" : http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/i-psychopath/ et ...

I have watched it, and it is straight to the point. I would recommed it above all other viewing for anyone in this movement. Thanks for that link!

Hi GypsyKing. Good post. Incorporation allows for limited liability and the selling of shares. Limited liability results in reckless behavior. Selling of shares causes neglect of core business. The world would do fine with only private business, and no incorporation.

No one needs to sell their soul to the devil, in order to run a successful business. I operate a private business, make money, care about customers, and customers care about me. Best Regards, Nevada

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Thanks for this post Nevada.

Yes, it is not 'wealth' that this movement, or at least that I oppose; it is the kind of business that, in it's essentially lawless state, can run roughshod over the rights of man. Such a form of business is the corporate charter, where even those many individuals with a conscience are prevented from excersizing that conscience by the funamental structure of the business model under which they opperate. The coroporation is nothing but organized crime.

Agree.

I really wish there was a website that listed all U.S. Senators and Representatives with their corporate sponsors. Perhaps it could be organized/searchable in three ways: by state, by politician's last name, and by corporation. That way we could better understand the web of influence.

Actually, I also wish the information was required to be listed here: http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

That's a really Great idea. We need just such tools to help a lot of people make sense of the very complicated nature of the of interrelated interests that control our country.

[-] 1 points by thepistolet (28) 12 years ago

Thanks. I think I'm going to start a new thread about it.

hahahaha! ok - so get rid of the "Corporate Charter" predict the outcome of that for me genius !what do you replace that policy with?

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Uh . . . Business ownership?

[-] 1 points by aries (463) from Nutley, NJ 12 years ago

??? what are you talking about?

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

I'm talking about private business ownership, where actual living individuals can be held accountable if they violate the public trust, and who can likewise be rewarded for establishing ethical business practice by building a loyal customer base - you know, the way it was in America before everything got fucked-up.

[-] 1 points by aries (463) from Nutley, NJ 12 years ago

oh - sort of like shareholders hahaha!

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

WTF?

[-] 1 points by blazefire (947) 12 years ago

The problem, is which nation do we do this in? Sure if we do it in America, Americans will be better off....or will they? Or will corporations simply outsource to a nation that is not so 'discriminating'? Pushing jobs into the third world that has no choice but to be the slaves of our corporations....and leaving people in the first world saying, "where have all the jobs gone?"

[-] 3 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

The answer is that we ALL must do this, irrespective of nationality. It is the only real soloution.

[-] 1 points by blazefire (947) 12 years ago

World peace. Thats the 'one thing'. Thats what we need to do. Humanity. WHY, why, why is that word so lacking here? Why do we talk of this religion, this race, this or that market sector, even the 99% and 1%.... WHY are we not simply humans standing for humanity! Why are we not asking what it takes to be HUMAN, or what we need to do to unite HUMANITY, or how to save people! Always, it seems, I mention world peace, and people say, yeah, that would be great, but what about now? We should talk about coke, or toshiba or the tea party, or Ron Lawl, or, or, or!!! AAAHHHH! People! People!

Thats who we need to discuss! People! How do we unite PEOPLE! How do we act that will see the betterment of HUMANITY!

Sorry...I guess I've been a bit ranty today....maybe the trolls have gotten to me. It's just so simple though. The only thing that occupy will be able to acheive is world peace, and, if it doesn't try.....

[-] 3 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

Yes, dissention, dissention, dissention! What we need is an awakening of the spirit.

[-] 2 points by blazefire (947) 12 years ago

Agitate, educate, organise!

I'm clamoring for a global GA. I think that's the 'B', to the 'Z' of world peace.

[-] 1 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

A global GA must be where we in this movement, the world over, must struugle to eventually create. The United Nations is nothing but a tool of the largest govenments, who in turn are nothing but a tool of corporate policy. This may sound like a huge reach, but the sate of the world calls for making a huge reach! You are right, in your implication that the problem transcends international boundries. It certainly does, as they have shown their ability to punish people in nation after nation who get out of line. The truth is, we already have an international government. It is a tyrrany.

Businesses exist soley to make money. When are any of you idiots going to understand this. If I started a business Im not going to do it for humanitarian reasons with the exception of I want my family to live well so I am going to make as much money as I can. Nobody thats ever had a job that paid did it for humanitarian reasons. Its called fucking reality you idiot.

[-] 3 points by GypsyKing (8708) 12 years ago

I'll let that remark stand, in it's complete denial if the interconnectedness of life, and of The Bible's quote in it's condemnation of Kane. "Am I my brother's keeper?"
