Forum Post: The Bigot Rise in America

Osama bin Laden was no more of a Muslim leader than Timothy McVeigh was a Christian leader after the Oklahoma Citybombings.

Sadly, since many Americans do not know any Muslims, Bin Laden became a symbol of Muslims with his long beard and turban. This is one of the reasons that there has been such growing Islamophobia in America, because idiots like Osama bin Laden kept making the global airwaves because people thought he was representing Islam, which one billion Muslims around the world would certainly take issue with.

Muslims have been living in our country for years and have done so peacefully. Of course like any religion there are twisted extremists, like the Westboro Baptist Church for example, but they don't represent an entire religion based on that. Here is a list of some well known Muslims that have never hurt a fly, except Muhamad Ali, but he was a boxer. Dave Chappelle Akon Kareem Abdul Jabbar Lupe Fiasco Shaquille O'Neal and Malcom X

You forgot to mention the efforts the Israelis are doing to spread Islamophobia in the US, so Americans can approve Israeli crimes against the disenfranchised Palestinians.

Osama bin Laden is the "Boogeyman" that the MSM uses to scare the stupid. They have many "Boogeyman" in their arsenal that they use to scare and brain wash the masses.

Any one with the tiniest bit of common sense knows the difference between a Muslim and an extremist terrorist. Sadly, Common sense is in short supply in the U.S.

Fear Incorporated: Top 7 funders: Donors Capital Fund Richard Mellon Scaife foundations Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation Newton D. & Rochelle F. Becker foundations and charitable trust Russell Berrie Foundation Anchorage Charitable Fund and William Rosenwald Family Fund Fairbrook Foundation

Here are five key think tanks led by scholars who are primarily responsible for orchestrating the majority of anti-Islam messages polluting our national discourse today: Frank Gaffney at the Center for Security Policy David Yerushalmi at the Society of Americans for National Existence Daniel Pipes at the Middle East Forum Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch and Stop Islamization of America Steven Emerson of the Investigative Project on Terrorism All five are actively promoting the deeply mistaken portrayal of Islam religion of nearly 1.6 billion people worldwide, including 2.6 million Americans as an inherently violent ideology that seeks domination over the United States and all non-Muslims.

Spencer neatly sums up their inaccurate and perverse view of Islam as “the only religion in the world that has a developed doctrine, theology and legal system that mandates violence against unbelievers and mandates that Muslims must wage war in order to establish the hegemony of the Islamic Social Order all over the world. http://daytonos.com/pdf/islamfear.pdf

McVeigh did not commit acts of terrorism in the name of Christianity. The 9/11 terrorists were indeed religious fanatics acting in the name of their warped view of Islam.

McVeigh and his accomplices were acting out of anger for our Govt.

[-] 2 points by alexrai (851) 12 years ago

Like verses from Issiah being written on US bombs... then dropped on people in the middle east. One would probably be tempted to assume that Christian aggressors were attacking them.

The reason "terrorists" are unhappy with the US is not their warped view of Islam, it is the history of US Foreign policy in that region... like McVeigh they are acting out of anger at the government, just about different issues.

[-] 2 points by Brandon37 (372) 12 years ago

The OKC bombing was also revenge for Waco. That was the main reason behind the attack.

[-] 1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

Watch the Bin Laden tapes. He never says he did it because Allah told him to do it. He said he did it because of the deaths of many people in the Arab world.

He is still scum of the earth despite his reasons. But remember that the westboro baptist church does what they do in the name of the same God as Christians and Catholics.

There are many types of Muslims in the world. The ones you've mentioned are not Arab Muslims. They are American. Big difference. It is the Arab Muslims that have been murdering scores around the world. And, while you are correct about the vast majority being peaceful, it is important to note that those are the Muslims that should be speaking against the murderers and not celebrating by the thousands in NJ streets after watching the twin towers collapse.

[-] 0 points by ARod1993 (2420) 12 years ago

I highly doubt that it's Arab Muslims as an ethnic group or nationality who celebrated the destruction and push for the destruction of America. Quite honestly, one of my closest friends growing up was an Arab Muslim; he had a great brain, a love of Grand Theft Auto, and a penchant for pranks that meant he was always in and out of some sort of silly trouble, and he went from a working-class neighborhood in the Bronx to a great college. The same goes for several of my high school friends (although the one at Harvard now is a South Asian Muslim), which is why I find bigotry against Muslims in general as ridiculous and misguided as bigotry against Jews in general or Christians in general (even the Korean evangelical contingent, whom I also dealt with on a regular basis in high school). Honestly, the only group I would be willing to go after in general are extremists and fundamentalists (Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and Hindu alike).

[-] 0 points by Spankysmojo (849) 12 years ago

I actually did not disagree with you but I distinctly recall the hordes of Arab Americans celebrating 911. I didn't say it was all of them, just a huge bunch. And huge bunches (millions) around the world. It is obvious that Osama had many followers. The Pakistanis didn't want to give him up and neither would others if given the chance. The Arab Muslims are not the only violent murderers in the world. They are the most prevalent and numerous. Terrorism has an Arab Muslim face in he world and it's the moderates that haven't stopped it.

Hell, now you came up with a good idea. Make these dam muslims basketball players if you can get them to stop wearing those dam dresses.

[-] 0 points by aahpat (1407) 12 years ago

I have seen estimates that one third or more of the slaves brought to America were Muslim. Muslims have been a part of American culture since before the Founding of this nation.

A section of the Bible tells you to gouge out your eye if you look at a woman and think impure thoughts. Please, don't try quoting ridiculous religious scriptures of the Muslim faith to justify bigotry. There are violent and ignorant aspects in all religious texts of different faiths.

[-] 0 points by Spankysmojo (849) 12 years ago

The only difference is that modern religions have abandoned slavery and polygamy etc. The Muslims are slow to progress. They still treat women like cattle. They have public executions and blame a rape victim for the act of rape. Muslims will be recognized as a modern religion when they repudiate these horrible acts. But your point...correct. Not all Muslims, just a big bunch and a bigger bunch that doesn't speak out enough.

[-] 1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

It wasn't that long ago that our country was lynching black people for being black. Should China have bombed and invaded our nation and wished death upon Americans? No because that is stupid. It took time but our country worked out those sad problems and became a better place. We have no right to bomb and invade nations due to the actions of a few men.

To declare an entire religion in the way it has been here in the states, I fully understand why Dave Chappelle moved to Africa.

[-] 0 points by Spankysmojo (849) 12 years ago

You're all over. We still lynch blacks and even...whites in some cases.China has no reason to invade our nation but 911 is a great reason to invade, destroy and occupy a nation. Great reason. There are a multitude of reasons to bomb people. If they kill your children then that is a great reason. GREAT REASON. I don't blame any religion. I blame the concept of religion. I just want to see Muslims reach out with an olive branch. In the past Islam just moved into foreign neighborhoods all over the world. When the time was right Islam then waged war from within. I want to see Muslims shit on the terrorists like we do. How about a Muslim maybe could turn in Osama...Oh, never happen!

[-] 2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

Also UN sanctions killed over 500,000 Iraqi children in the 90's. Madeline Albright said it was worth it on CNN.

And if you ever talk to American Muslims they openly denounce Osama bin Laden and from many I've talked with, one specifically called him a "sadistic piece of shit."

[-] 2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

IRAQ had nothing to do with 9/11

What else needs to happen for Americans to wake up and see it's all a fraud?

[-] 0 points by Spankysmojo (849) 12 years ago

Iraq had to do with an attack on Kuwait that didn't go well for Sr. Jr, couldn't stand that Sadman Insane threatened his Dad so he went in. Clear case of Texas Syndrome.

What are you showing me? Some obscure page that no one knows exists? People need to be VOCAL!

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 12 years ago

They are vocal. You are firmly in denial.

[-] 0 points by Spankysmojo (849) 12 years ago

Maybe you're right. I just know that I don't hear them very often. I am not against anyone practicing a religion despite how archaic they all are. I just hate to see that same archaic, Neanderthal-like behavior condone a 911. That simple. I saw the video of the Arabs in NJ streets celebrating right after the towers fell. I cried. You? I stood atop those towers when they were built. This is and always be my NY. If you danced when my building fell then you will die a million deaths and have no virgins in heaven. Just donkeys and camels in hell. Sorry, I'm a bit emotional when it comes to dead children.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 12 years ago

Spanky, I'm an atheist that doesn't dance and doesn't care for virgins. There are Muslims that are just as disgusted with terrorism as you and I are.

[-] 0 points by Spankysmojo (849) 12 years ago

Aaaight. I am a Spinoza Jew. I know there is more to this than our anguish. I do not believe in an all knowing creator. I do believe in the doctrines that my people have embraced and rejoice in the passing of the ones they've rejected. Like the truest: evolution. Religion can be good. People can too. I am not trying to alienate Muslims.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 12 years ago

Religion is being used as the reasoning behind war. It has been used to create a jihad against the Soviet Union. It is happening here with New Apostolic Reformation. Scroll down this link to where Wagner discusses Japan and see if that doesn't scream bat-shit crazy. Look into their "spiritual mapping".

All wars are fought over resources. And Russia and China maintain relationships with those countries.

Not true. Crusades! And many many more. Religion is MUCH bigger than resources. Russia and China are about to collapse. Spring will spring much bigger in those countries than in arab countries. Watch and enjoy.

[-] 1 points by GirlFriday (17435) 12 years ago

The Crusades are the perfect example of wars fought over resources and utilizing religion as a motivator.

I am most likely. A free thinker. Don't know anything about hasbara or capybara. The only feces is you...eternal feces that changes it's name everyday just to talk more feces. The only brainwash is you. But that had to be easy....small cc.Stop your muslim fascism. I made my messages private because I abhor giving you top billing on a post. Few Americans believe that Muslims are the enemy. You wish it were more so you could jihad the US. The Talmud is genius. It is alive and well. It is the foundation to all law. If you detest law you must be a criminal. If you refer to a couple of ancient passages that don't like goyim then read history and see how shocking a conclusion it was.

A major port of entry for right-wing bigots into OWS is the "END THE FED" crowd.

[-] 1 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

Do you know anything about the Federal Reserve?

Fuck yes end the fed. They used our tax payer bailout money to create 7.7 trillion dollars that they gave to Wall Street banks while those same banks foreclosed homes and laid off employees.

Yeah yeah yeah, so why would Islamic people ever remotely suggest, even insist upon, building a mosque on the 911 site?

I find that in very poor taste and highly offensive.

I also find their involvement with the D-2 and 7-H potpourri type substances (not for human consumption ;-) ;-) ) as well as the alarming number of outright head shops, in local neighborhood stores, often with tasteless pornographic paraphernalia (like a crack pipe formed discernibly like certain parts of human anatomy) in plain view of any who enters to even pay for some gas.... to be almost equally offensive.

I can promise you that myself, and several like minded persons, have done our part to put them in check.

Peddle that bs elsewhere.

[-] 3 points by aahpat (1407) 12 years ago

I find you to be "in very poor taste and highly offensive".

As well as being grossly misinformed.

[-] 2 points by TrevorMnemonic (5827) 12 years ago

Who cares? The mosque was never set or even planned to be built on the ground zero site. That is just 100% wrong. It was supposedly going to be about 2 blocks away and around the corner.

The religion was not responsible for 9/11. Shaq had nothing to do with 9/11. Those responsible were a bunch of fucktards seeking what they thought was vengeance for crimes committed by the USA. Have you ever watched the Bin Laden tapes? He said he did it because of US wars and UN sanctions put upon the arab world that killed a ton of people. Like any religious extremists, like the Westboro Baptist church, they try and also justify their doings with ignorant religious texts.

What mosque anyway? It never got built and it was never actually disapproved.

To make sure your brand of stupid and pathetic isn't ever allowed to run rampant, and completely unchecked.

End the fed.

[-] 0 points by TommyNYC (730) 12 years ago

So you admit that you're a right-winger that's here for no other reason than to obstruct anything constructive from happening. In other words, YOU'RE THE DEFINITION OF "TROLL".

Also, you prove my point that "END THE FED" is connected to bigotry.

You're an idiot, most likely a child and unlikely that you've accomplished much of anything on your own. I'd hate being a muslim and having that associate hung around my chicken neck so that I couldn't even speak the truth about something as patently wrong and evil, as the Fed, without the paralyzing fear that the MIBS would haul my cowardly ass to GITMO.
