Forum Post: The Big Lie | Wall Street has destroyed the wonder that was America

As 2011 slithers to its end, none of the major problems that led to the crisis point three years ago have really been solved. Bank balance sheets still reek. Europe day by day becomes a financial black hole, with matter from the periphery being sucked toward the center until the vortex itself collapses. The Street and its ministries of propaganda have fallen back on a Big Lie as old as capitalism itself: that all that has gone wrong has been government's fault. This time, however, I don't think the argument that “Washington ate my homework” is going to work. (Although the apparent anomalous case of the Atlanta VA loan guarantee officer mortgage fraudgate may be the exception. Should he be prosecuted, the Govt will have redeemed itself and set the record straight). Otherwise, this time, a firestorm is going to explode about the Street's head—and about time, too. http://4closurefraud.org/2011/12/28/the-big-lie-wall-street-has-destroyed-the-wonder-that-was-america/

Good post NightTalker!

Your absolutely correct in saying the shit storm is far from over. We have to take all this energy created by American's real experiences as we have waded through and helplessly ate this shit. We MUST collectively struggle to regain our footing. The Greedy Rich were given free reign to drive America into a ditch and light is still green, no red light with our very lives in that intersection!

The reforms needed are being obstructed by the do nothing Repelican Congress. They have blocked at chance at reform and still coddle the rich and their interests. The hell with us.

Please everyone vote in 2012. Do IT! Listen to reason and get the facts straight. Expose the liars

Obama is obstructing just as much as the Republicans, and as he the President, he is worse then they are. He is a talker, but also a good liar. In an ideal world, Bernie Sanders would be President, and Ralph Nadar Vice President. They are the two most honorable, conservative, Capitalist Americans to have been in politics since JFK., They are just plain awesome human beings.

"The events above noted gave unmistakable evidence of the unity of American sentiment against British oppression; but something more must be done to bring about united action. There must be some central authority to which all the colonies could turn for guidance. This political union came about in the formation of a Continental Congress. This Congress was the result of a spontaneous and almost simultaneous movement throughout the country. From New York came the first call. Paul Revere had been sent from Boston on a fleet horse to rouse the people of New York and Philadelphia, but ere he reached the former the Sons of Liberty had taken action for a congress. The Massachusetts legislature added its voice in June. Delegates were chosen in all the colonies except Georgia, and they met in Carpenter's Hall, Philadelphia. Among them we find such leaders as Washington, Lee, and Henry of Virginia, Dickinson of Pennsylvania, Samuel and John Adams of Massachusetts, Roger Sherman of Connecticut.

The Congress was not a constitutional body; many of its members had been chosen irregularly. Its authority was limited to the willingness of the people to respect and obey its suggestions and mandates. The very fact of its existence had a meaning of great significance, but it was too profound for the comprehension of George III."

Nighttalker,

Obama is worse than the Repugnants?

If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal. Emma Goldman

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

I take it she never heard of Bush.

I know I did.

[-] 1 points by flip (7101) 12 years ago

Who's running?

It hasn't actually started yet.

Are you in the US?

[-] 1 points by fairforall (279) 12 years ago

No, I am in California.

The race will be Obama and a Repo. Who will you vote for?

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

That's speculation.

From what I've heard of the GOP circus, it will be unlikely to be any one of them.

I'll wait until it actually begins and hear what they have to say, though.

Until then, I'm undecided.

[-] 1 points by fairforall (279) 12 years ago

more than speculation.......it will in fact be Obama and a repo. Trust me on this.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

I vote for Zen every chance I get. Early and often.

I do like his platform.

How many does he need to win?

[-] 1 points by fairforall (279) 12 years ago

Not sure, but he said if I could bring him a significant number of votes, I can get a Thurs-Sun in the Lincoln Room. The Bush's only allowed a max of 3 days.

Does it have cable TV?

And a hot tub???

Gotta have a hot tub.

I'll give you vote for a dip in the tub.

3 months of fighting republicans and such has me sore.

[-] 1 points by fairforall (279) 12 years ago

The Atlanta VA Loan Guarantee officer is possibly the only person that can be prosecuted, and allow for some sense of justice to the American Psyche. A long public Federal criminal trial, on daily TV, would sooth the soul of the ravaged American!. Prosecute the Atlanta VA loan guarantee officer! Dig deep and wide into his dealings and that of his friends, family, lawyer and his and their associations over the last 20 plus years!. Drain the PUSS from a canker sore on the soul of America!! http://4closurefraud.org/2011/10/05/unsealed-complaint-wells-fargo-bank-of-america-j-p-morgan-chase-and-gmac-mortgage-engaged-in-a-brazen-scheme-to-defraud-our-nations-veterans/
