Forum Post: The 1% don't need to worry (at least as of today) about being dragged out of a storm sewer.

This is a call to the 1% to wake-up and smell the coffee. Join the 99% and accept that things are going to change. Lets try to do it amicably. Change is happening lets not make it be ugly.

This will end in one of two ways...(1) tyranny in full gear (2) total change of the system. No matter what the 1% do it cannot kill an idea. One thing I know for certain: those who like the current situation are not going to like either (1) or (2).

Yeah -- the thing is, we already have a free, democratic republic. Any rebellion against it is illegitimate and ridiculous.

If it is living then it has no foundation. If it can be changed at any time and the actual Rule of Law is not upheld then no one is safe. If it is living it has no meaning

It is only our foundation if it can not be changed by the capricious whims of the mob. If one thinks the Constitution is a living document then that person claims, without even understanding that they have, that the document is meaningless. If it can not be held to firmly like the foundation that it is and shall always be, then it is meaningless

Yep. In 2008, people didn't like the Republicans, so we got a lot of Democrats who passed some big laws. In 2010, people decided they didn't like the laws, so they elected a heap of Republicans. Liberal democracy isn't pretty, but it's better than all of the alternatives.

You see though. We have never fully used our rights. We should have long ago started proceedings to recall those in office who are working against us or are just trying to maintain status quo.

Why? I love America and I Strongly support the constitution but to be honest, I do not feel represented by this government. And Im not saying we need another revolution, but that is why it happened originally. People were taxed without representation. Our government needs to step it up. No more of the party spouts. The fight between the president and Congress is just embarrassing, regardless of who is right. Its just gotta end. The country needs something radical to happen.
