We are starting a new type of lobbying organization (www.lobbydemocracy.com) to help make the voice of the majority heard on Capitol Hill. We are trying to restructure the power in Washington, DC and put it back in the hands of the people. We are looking to pull together and unify around common interests to end the gridlock on Capitol Hill and hold our elected representatives accountable not just at election time, but year round. Last year total lobbying expenditure totaled $3.51 billion. People have grown to believe that money runs politics and there is nothing you can do to make your voice heard. We are here to tell you that is not the case. In the wise words of Barney Frank …. “People are rightly upset about the role of big money in politics. And it’s true that big money will win if it’s got the field to itself. But if you get the average voter involved and engage the collective weight of public opinion you will kick big money’s ass.” The one thing that all of the lobbying money cannot overcome is an active voting population. All of the money in the world cannot defeat the majority in a democracy and we are here to help make sure that the majority’s interests are heard. Check out our site at www.lobbydomocracy.com and make your voice heard!
