Let's back track. First there was the floating of US intervention. Then when that didn't garner the appropriate response, there was the all of a sudden possibility of chemical weapons on location. Then when that didn't garner the appropriate response, we now have the use of chemical weapons.

One word: Racak.

Reminds me of the invade Iraq process.

[-] 3 points by Nevada1 (5843) 10 years ago

Agree. US invaded Iraq, and poisons the country with uranium slugs.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 10 years ago

But you hear no-one talking about depleted uranium poisoning of the Iraqi people or the USA troops using the arms - Hey? Wonder why that is. Hhmmmmm

[-] 1 points by frovikleka (2563) from Island Heights, NJ 10 years ago

"Depleted uranium poisoning" and the untold human misery it has brought to the Iraqi people and the US troops falls under the category of new rules

Anything that is unpleasant to think of is not discussed

Yep - It's all good because it is just collateral damage. The sick bastards.

[-] 2 points by frovikleka (2563) from Island Heights, NJ 10 years ago

Once you are able to view the atrocities we perpetuate as just "collateral damage," and convince people that human life, if not American is worthless

You are then well on your way to losing your own humanity

Rah Rah action movies and video games - desensitize and provide a feeling of justice served out to criminals in extreme kick the assholes butt violence. Innocent bystander victims? Hell every game has those - it is to be expected. F'n assholes.

You're right about that.

Ya, and now we are going to dissect religious conflict and local parties.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 10 years ago

The government is looking for that angle in - to secure the area - oust the current shithead - with escalation maybe with direct USA intervention - though they would prefer to have it done by a second party.

[-] 2 points by GirlFriday (17435) 10 years ago

We have spent a good long time watching a push for justification.

[-] 0 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 10 years ago

Yep - they are taking their time - this time around - hoping to inspire the public to call for immediate action - no doubt. Then they can say that it was the will of the people. One thing though - IMO - the UN should have knocked out Asadist's military jet capability - He lost the right to have them when he started bombing his own cities and population.

I am just going to be honest. I don't like his relationship with Hezbollah. He would have lost that right with the assassination of Rafik Hariri. It's a damn good thing I'm not in the military.

Be that as it may, I would tread very, very carefully here. I'm going to show you why: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=132&topic_id=167176&mesg_id=167829

http://www.workers.org/ww/2001/yugo0215.php

http://fair.org/press-release/media-ignore-questions-about-incident-that-sparked-kosovo-war/

We see this repeated over and over again. Manufactured consent.

So, one of the things that we need to look for is where is the IMF and the World Bank?

Is any part of the following article true? http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO202G.html

or this one? http://www.ccus.info/books/cc/yugoslavia.shtml#_edn138

I'm not familiar with either of the above sites.

The reason that I ask these questions now is that you won't know the truth until later and when the real white washing begins.

explosives and bullets kill far more

May 31, 2013 – President Barack Obama continues to support the Russian Military with money and deeds. ... Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported,.

The U.S. has so far provided the Syrian rebel army with rations and medical supplies. ... Obama to ask Russia to drop political, military support.

SO COLD

Today I watched BBC NEWS and they said that US is about to provide ammunition support to the rebels and Implement No fly zone over Syrian border. US intelligence, they said, possess the information about the evidence of use of zarin by Syrian army, and also they mentioned Hezbollah terrorists who fights on the Assad's side, but they didn't mentioned al-quaeda murderers who fights on the rebels side and most important they forgot to mention latest UN report. UN commissioner said they couldn't find direct evidence of using zarin gas by Assad's army, although, he said, they found insignificant evidence of using chemical weapons of mass destruction by Syrian rebels. I feel sorry for western media...

dead is dead

our government is not more noble for killing with no-chemical weapons

Obama administration strikes deal to buy small arms and distribute them to foreigners

[-] 1 points by bensdad (8977) 10 years ago

maybe I'm lookng at syria too narrowly,
where an Alawite - Ba'ath minority controlls a Sunni majority but
it seems very similar to South Africa where a white minority controlled a black majority
it seems very similar to Iraq where a Ba'ath minority controlled a Shia majority

Do you have a TROLL problem?

here are some of its “tells”
►attacking the poster - not the post
►"re-interpreting" the post rather than quoting it ( ala faux noose )
►using a gross generalization to “prove” a specific
►using the “big lie” [ often obviously ]
►changing the subject
►using mccarthyite accusations
►afraid to answer questions

to solve your TROLL problem you could buy a mongoose or a roach motel,
but there is a better way:

……………………………………….MY TROLL solution ►
……………………………………….IGNORE ANY POSTS FROM THE TROLL

I guess when Bubba speaks, even Obama listens...now we all of a sudden have 'confirmation' of chem weaps. Yeah, right

In sharp remarks directed against his Democratic successor and his wife’s former boss, President Bill Clinton said Tuesday that President Barack Obama risks looking like a “wuss,” a “fool,” and “lame” for not doing more to influence events in Syria. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/06/13/bill-clinton-obama-may-look-like-a-wuss-over-syria.html
