today is Sat. is this vote over?
They approved the Feinstein-Lee amendment instead. Not quite as sweeping as Udall's, buit prohibits indef detention, It's all over the cinservative websites....try foxnews.com or daily caller, or (gasp) Breitbart.
thanks for the update

Then why did you say it was rejected earlier? Oh, I bet it's cuz you get your news from NYT?
The better Udall amendment was defeated by repubs, The weaker Feinstein-Lee amendment passed.
Got it.?

Huh? I am worried about a POTUS veto of the amendment. can't 'veto' a measure that fails, btw. Jusr where did you get all those wrong facts and figures, anyway? It passed and Obama will probably veto since he fought a court case to keep indef detention
NYT also covered it.

And we should take note that 26 of the 29 against repealing indef detention were Repubs.

My facts andfigures wereaccurate regarding the stronger Udall amendment. The weaker Feinstein-Lee amendment passed. Now it goes to conference. If we stop repub efforts to defeat it I'm sure Pres Obama will sign it.
Send a message to rights violating fear mongerers.
LOL. Yes.
We lost. 38 for, 60 against. 2 Repubs voted for the repeal of indef detention. 14 Dems voted against the repeal.
Next opportunity for repeal is the House/Senate conference commitee next week. If we don't get more Repub support for that, we will need a Pres Veto.
We'll see
