Guys like that depend on you staying ignorant of economics.
Of course they are, as long as the SEC permits it they will be betting on oil. Show up at some Obama Wall Street fundraisers with a large enough group and threaten to vote him out of office. No matter who runs against him it's going to be close, use some of the power fate has granted you.
Maybe we should be asking Obama directly to stop allowing this practice of speculating based on artificial threats. A few more gray hairs on Obama's head won't matter at this point but a few extra dollars out of someone's weekly pay will.
