Ninety nine percent of Americans do not want to overthrow capitalism and/or the government. Quit with the 99percent bullcrap. Anyone who falsely represents other people as their own simply to try and strengthen their non existant points are garbage. Thank you.

I'm glad to hear that 99% of Americans are with us.

I was wondering if that was strictly true, but now that you tell me that 99% of Americans share our goals, I guess it is true ... we are the 99%.

Im sure about that many know things are wrong. But most of these people are revolutionaries.

[-] 1 points by Dalton (194) 12 years ago

I can't even tell if you're trying to agree or disagree with me, because that was not actually written in the English language.

"Im sure about that many know things are wrong."

I should like to make it clear that I am not a xenophobe. Ideas from non-Americans are, so far as I am concerned, perfectly welcome. But if you cannot express your ideas in the English language, then as a plain matter of fact I will not understand what you are trying to say. I hope that you do not find this offensive, but if you are (for example) Chinese, then your ability to speak English is not yet sufficient for you to say the things that you would like to say.

I did not explain it well i assumed you could use context with both our posts to figure it out. I will admit it was hastily written. Apologies, and no offense taken i assure you. I was agreeing that ninety nine percent most likely agree that things are wrong. However most of these people i hear of simply want a revolution. Which i cannot get behind. Sorry for the confusion and thank you for being so civil.

[-] 1 points by Dalton (194) 12 years ago

No, I think you're wrong. You write:

However most of these people i hear of simply want a revolution.

No, I think most of us don't. You are confused.

[-] 1 points by Gileos (309) 12 years ago

Well that is good of you and the people you know feel that way and you have my support in a peaceful way of advertising it. But check out the people your supporting, cjeck them out.

Just because they've decided to tag their names onto our movement and sign our names onto their crap doesn't mean we support them. You're at least the third person I've had this discussion with on here, and my point is this: OWS (rather lamentably) has somewhat of a hard time keeping the nuts in line and out of our hair, and that's going to be most true on the forum because it's damn near impossible to moderate properly. At the core of OWS is a fairly large group of rational moderates like Dalton and I who want to move to regulated capitalism and campaign finance/lobbying reform, and 99% of Americans can get behind at least half of that statement.

[-] 1 points by Gileos (309) 12 years ago

I dont see much denouncing of them and before you ask, yes it is your responsibility.

No one wants to do away with capitalism. That's the anti-99% element spewing lies.

What this is all about is removing corruption from our government, namely corporate and financial industry corruption.

No one is opposed to capitalism or corporations per se. We all know that.

[-] 1 points by Gileos (309) 12 years ago

So i should not take people at their word? If you want any success youll have to stand up and denounce these people. Whether you think so or not they largely make the numers of this thing.

Then start voting people in who aren't career politicians and who have no interest in corporate $$$. Until the masses start seriously researching who they vote for, and not just pulling the lever for the guy they see on TV the most, we're just going to keep having the same shit.

Need a massive effort to get the normal people running, no letters after their names.

I prefer someone who has had their ass kicked before, and really hates politicians.

What differnce does it make to elect Obama or Cain ... they are both cut from the same cloth ... and they are owned by Wall Street.

That is why this is Occupy Wall Street ... not DC

So your admitting they are occupying the wrong place thats a start.

[-] 1 points by packetStorm (128) 12 years ago

I was hoping Wall Street was the lefts euphimism for the Federal Reserve.

33 Liberty Street ... would be my preference. But ... Wall Street is fine ... I can work with you.

END THE FED!!!

[-] 1 points by Daennera (765) from Griffith, IN 12 years ago

That was my point. Actually make a point to seek out people who are running that just want to serve and nothing more. Elect the defiant and the principled.

"No one is opposed to capitalism or corporations per se"?

Bullcrap. You obviously have not read the GA minutes.
