Curious where the sentiment is on these two issues. I think SOPA (the so called "stop online piracy act") and its senate cousin, PIPA (protect IP act), represents one of the worse attacks against our liberties seen in a long time. The definition of liberty has become more expansive, and today, the internet is one of these most important vehicles of free speech (so I hope most here are against SOPA & its evil twin cousin, PIPA). Also, there's a recently proposed bill, the Border Tax Equity Act of 2011, which directs our trade negotiators to work out a deal with the WTO (and allow us to impose tax on imports that equal the amounts our exports are taxed, via value added taxes & other indirect forms of taxation). I think this bill is an excellent idea ... thoughts??

Oops, shouldn't have said "twin cousin" (cousins can't be twins) .... LOL!
