Once upon a time, an honest man could rise in this country from nothing; it was called a system that included fair (and known) rules and access to opportunity.
Today, however, the top 1% want to monopolize opportunity, money, access to the courts, even voting.
It is high time that the citizen rises up under this dark cloud of banking/insurance/ tyranny.
The problem with our supposedly glorious system of capitalism is that it thrives under a system where there's PLENTY left to develop and hence, stamp your name on. In many, many areas, the land is already developed and there's no more land to put your mark on. Right? I mean, this is what Marx said would happen, that eventually, the system of capitalism would develop the institutions that are needed to run our country, and that a new order would naturally begin to settle in. Say what you want about Marx and communism, but in many ways, his logic was spot on.
