Forum Post: "Shut it Down"? "Make Wall St. Pay"? Nov, 17th ... Where? The Bull

This is foolish. The bull is well-fed and well-protected -- far from confused. At least wait for a bear market.

Can't help but think that any attempts to capture the bull will be as poorly-executed and ill-fated as anarchist Alexander Berkman's assassination attempt of Carnegie Steel Company's chairman H.C. Frick. Berkman's "propaganda of the deed" only served to generate public sympathy for Frick, further suppress workers, and deliver Berkman a 14-year jail sentence. Emma Goldman follower Leon Czolgosz successfully assassinated President McKinley after hearing Goldman speak and she became implicated in yet another scandal, one that generated tremendous public sympathy for McKinley and further contributed to the general public's complete misunderstanding of anarchist philosophy. Lots of mistakes were made at this time by youthful idealists and we could learn a lot from them.

Unless the "Anti Capitalist Bloc" are provocateurs.

Let's nourish ourselves this Thanksgiving, give thanks for each other, and build up our communities instead.

Below is a link to the proposed event that I am referencing. I'm simply saying that such an attempt could only produce disastrous results for the Occupy Movement. That's all ... Take what you will from it.
