This is almost as bad of an agricultural economy faux pas as when Bush 1 mentioned how much he hated broccoli. It's funny too in an ironic sort of way since the organic farms where she ate is named MA'O.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/yeas-nays/2011/12/flotus-shares-real-hawaiian-pizza/2023676

..."The first lady met Kenney when she first visited MA'O back in November for a tour of the farm and a round table with the her "Let's Move!" initiative. Kenney also cooked the first lady's farm-to-table meal at the APEC Spouses Luncheon the next day at Kualoa Ranch — a meal which that she later described as "perfect" — even though he fed her a salad with beets, which Obama described as her "worst nightmare" and one of her least-favorite foods."

It is truly sad that this type of lavish lifestyle is paid for on the backs of hard working folks. Government is the only business that the employees live far better lifestyles than the employers. show more show less

Hey guy. I hate to admit it, but 'da Prez' and his old lady are entitled to a 'few' vacations - but nothing says they have to go hogwild. show more show less

How about going "home" to Chicago just once? Isn't that where most of our past presidents (except Clinton, who had no home) went? Then there's always Camp David. But both Chicago and Camp David are cold and the Bammy family like it warm. Unfortunately most of us Americans, due to his so-called "green" energy policies can't afford to heat our homes to a comfortable temperature. Hey, but he and his followers thinks we should "sacrifice." show more show less

The difference is that when I go on vacation, I pay for it lock stock and barrel. When "da Prez" and his ole lady go, I along with the rest of the taxpayers pay for it lock stock and barrel. Richard Prior said it best. Justice is JUST US. show more show less

You are absolutely right. The US economy will recover from POTUS and FLOTUS being out of office alone. show more show less

The taxpayers pay for Air Force One, a cargo jet and the supporting security jets and personnel - times 2 since they're travelling separately. Not to mention taxpayers are responsible for housing monies associated with the U.S. Secret Service, Coast Guart and Navy Seals. show more show less

WTF/E Yes we do, do you think all that money comes off his debit card? U.S. Secret Service agents, communications officials, top aides, drivers, and U.S. Coast Guard personnel with him will be covered by taxpayers. His stay will require the Coast Guard to keep ships floating near where obama will be vacationing. a presidential helicopter and jet at the ready and security agents on 24-hour duty. Armored SUVs dubbed "war wagons" have been flown in to carry the presidential family around the island. ALL paid for by US Tax Payers. So get the facts before just saying any old lie you want. While the rest of us sit back and eat our $1 hamburgers and french fries, they will be dining of $100 a plate meals if not more. Wouldn't it be a bit more charitable if they went home to Chicago for Christmas and donate all the money that would have been spent to a local food bank or to children who won't have a Christmas instead of partying it up in our faces? show more show less

You don't think the Obamas are shelling out $4mill of their OWN stash for vacation, do you?

Obama recently bragged that Jobs gave him an iPod as a gift. Putting aside the laws and ethics of receiving personal gifts, wouldn't it be refreshing if he actually purchased an iPod with his own bucks?

It is just a character thing. He obviously thinks that he's entitled to money he hasn't earned but receives from his position within the government. show more show less

Don Ho's song Tiny Bubbles could be a Wall St theme song.

I could never understand how 'Tiny Bubbles' became such a hit, maybe it had something to do with the pre 'hot tubbing' days of the '60's that I missed out on since I was only 3 years old when Don Ho sang it:

Burger King used to have 'Subservient Chicken' and I would have given you that site so you could type in 'Michelle says to 'fry yourself' and watch the chicken have a conniption.

Anyway, if you don't remember it, here's a YouTube link to a video snapshot of 'Subservient Chicken' before BK took the site down:

a weird advertising thing from burger king it is located at http://www.subservientchicken.com/ and there's a Wikipedia article on it. its actually kinda fun (and a major time waster) because you can type in over 300 commands.
