Posted 12 years ago on March 15, 2012, 10:19 a.m. EST by aflockofdoofi (-18)
This content is user submitted and not an official statement

Detroit is utterly bankrupt, with public employees unions having sucked the city bone dry with lavish health and retirement benefits.

Scott Walker is saving the State of Wisconsin from fiscal insanity and leaving it a growing state.

Hip hip hooray for Hero Scott Walker!!!

Got news for you, little brain. Wisconsin is broke, as are many other states, from that little thing called the recession. You know, that teensy weesny little nationwide economic collapse caused by Wall Street.

[-] 2 points by craigdangit (326) 12 years ago

+1

Now more than ever, hard working public sector workers need their paychecks.

[-] 0 points by GumbyDamnit (36) 12 years ago

Absolutely! There also need to be at least double the number of citizen paid jobs starting now and by all means, double or triple all their salaries. Better benefits and retirement wouldn't hurt a thing, either!

Obama should also triple the Whitehouse staff and number of czars to increase the tinkle down affect of peons getting sprinkled.

Wisconsin is not broke. walker is doing a great job much to the consternation of the union heads.

[-] 0 points by aflockofdoofi (-18) 12 years ago

No, its not and that isnt the reason, but go on being played for a fool by the Public Employee Unions, sap.

[-] 2 points by epa1nter (4650) from Rutherford, NJ 12 years ago

Walker said it was, and that's the reason he went on the attack of the Unions. In the meanwhile the budget deficit was created by HIM giving tax breaks and subsidies to big corporate campaign contributers. If there was no budget crisis, why go after the unions after the teachers that wipe the snot off the noses of your ungrateful kids, of the people who pick up the garbage you make, test your water to make sure it's safe, license your electricians so you house doesn't burn down, police your streets to keep you safe? But you idiots like to have t both ways. Either there is a budget crisis or not. If there is, stop Walker from giving money away to corporate buddies. If there isn't stop NEEDLESSLY attacking the people who do the dirty jobs you won't or CAN'T touch.

[-] 0 points by aflockofdoofi (-18) 12 years ago

50% of Detroit's budget goes to fund pensions and retiree health care. If un checked, Mayor Bing could layoff all 11,000 city workers and still be fiscally underwater. Let me make this clear: if all city services were suspended, the city will still go bankrupt! You idiots li,e to argue math, when numbers cant be argued. Revenues are too small for outlays and outlays are such that they will only be going to retirees, and the city would have to shut down.

Detroit is one of the highest taxed cities there is and STILL its not enough to fund overly generous pension and health mandates.

Wisconsin is just applying some fiscal discipline to the future. California owes $500 billion to its public retirees, and if proper accounting principles are followed, it could be as much as $1 trilion. Thats $30000 per citizen invluding children, owed to retirees. For a dullard like you, that means a family of four owes $120000 to other peoples pensions.

[-] 2 points by epa1nter (4650) from Rutherford, NJ 12 years ago

Detroit and other municipalities and states are in trouble because of the RECESSION! There is not money coming into their coffers because of UNEMPLOYMENT and a reduced tax base, and reduced contributions from the federal government. And most can't do anything about because of draconian and stupidly inflexible balanced budget laws. The crisis in the economy has been caused by WALL STREET.

As to Wisconsin, the future would look a whole brighter if walker wouldn't give hundreds if millions of dollars away to his CRONIES. The pension finds and health care benefits Wisconsin for the public employees was NOT the issue, since BEFORE Walker insisted on destroying those unions, they had already AGREED to raise their member's contributions to their plans to make them sustainable for the state. The excuse Walker used is a bald face LIE. You are the idiots, and immoral pigs who demand that people work for you, your state, your children, your infrastructure, your safety, while having no rights, no decent wages, poor access to health care, and a retirement in poverty. You are ungrateful pigs.

Since you are head troll, I think I'll pass as far as your advice is concerned. Things will have to work themselves out some other way.

What? I have been a supporter of this movement since its inception. Name one thing I said trolling, unless I merely had a moment of whimsy late at night or something. I don't know what you are talking about, unless you are trying to tear this movement apart with paranoia...

Poll: Walker's favorability dips since Jan.; majority thinks John Doe investigation 'serious'

One reason might be an ongoing John Doe investigation into several former Walker aides and associates.

What a completely and utterly simplistic view of the state Detroit is in.

Blame it on the people still trying to keep it running?

Sounds like Kochead talk.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Seems everybody but Walker and the Kochs know that Wisconsin is bleeding jobs.

Gov Walker is doing what needs to be done, although the left wing nut OWS goons will never see it that way

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

So in your mind, we should just let the Kochs and others like them run the country?

Wisconsin has been bleeding jobs since Walker was elected.

Kind of like the country bled jobs after Bush was elected.

This would make you in full support of a plutocratic oligarchy.

Now why would you want that?

I am not sure I can trust this source either but there is thousands of links, that say that Wisconsin is doing a lot better

[-] -1 points by beenthereonce (-13) 12 years ago

What is happening in Wisconsin is already happening in other States. I live in Michigan and wish it would happen here soon also. For example a city trash collector pay in Wisconsin is between 70,000 to 125, 000 way to much money

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

You just really, really like the Kochs then?

I don't care much for Snyder, nor his methods.

I know very few that do.

How many hours do those guys have to work to earn that pay?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

We could play this fools game all day.

Let's just say, Walkers numbers are highly questionable.

[-] -1 points by beenthereonce (-13) 12 years ago

We both have different views on this but I am with the other majority of Americans that are fed up with the public unions

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

should people have a right to organize in their work place ?

[-] 1 points by craigdangit (326) 12 years ago

The most certainly do. They just can't force anyone to join one.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

I think

the automatic inclusion of all workers in negotiations makes sence for the cooperation at the work place

[-] 0 points by craigdangit (326) 12 years ago

Cooperation? Good thing the Germans cooperated with the nazis! You're trolling, right? People don't have the right to not buy representation services?

[-] 0 points by craigdangit (326) 12 years ago

Yeah! let's do everything Big Bird says! Big Bird says that we all need to give him money! Baa-aaah! We don't have a right not to!

[-] 0 points by beenthereonce (-13) 12 years ago

No and if there is a problem then bring in an outsider to take care of the problem. The outsider does not mean a union either. The majority of business's if you do good work then you will be treated fairly. But this discussion is not about private work places, it is about public ones and they are bankrupting States

[-] 2 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

if there is a problem, handle it on the floor it arose from

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

What I see, is that you have adopted the propagandist view.

One that you have adopted irrespective of anything that may inform you otherwise.

That's not a wise decision.

[-] -1 points by beenthereonce (-13) 12 years ago

No propaganda here

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Only in everything you've posted and said so far.

That's the real magic of propaganda. Once you've accepted it, you NEVER question it, and seek it out for affirmation.

All workers should have the right to collective bargaining.

All of them.

[-] -1 points by beenthereonce (-13) 12 years ago

Public unions need to be dismantled and go away. I can see a private union is some circumstances but not many. Look how the unions trashed the big three?? You always say it is managements fault but we both know that is bull. Unions piss and moan for more money, benefits, and it only drives up the cost of living. The person that makes less than a union member suffers because of it

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Not big three BS again.

You don't want to start this argument, again. You WILL lose.

The big threes problems are directly related to mismanagement and poor engineering.

After they fuck it up, they just ask the unions for concessions.

It's happened every time.

[-] -1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

that money should come from the stored riches of the aristocrats

[-] -2 points by beenthereonce (-13) 12 years ago

Sorry but you are wrong again. The problem with the big three is the unions that drove up wages, benefits to no end. Hell us tax payers were and probably still are paying GM workers pensions from the bailouts. Unions forced the big three to start outsourcing at a lower cost. The big three used to make some dependable vehicles back in the day but now are just producing trash by high paying workers that are now lazy asses

[-] -2 points by aflockofdoofi (-18) 12 years ago

You fucking liar.

Stats for Wisconsin enemployment

http://www.google.com/publicdata/explore?ds=z1ebjpgk2654c1_&met_y=unemployment_rate&idim=state:ST550000&fdim_y=seasonality:S&dl=en&hl=en&q=wisconsin+unemployment

6.9 %. Unemployment has dropped dramatically since Walker was elected!!! Caught in a typical fucking lie, you lying mother fucker! Weasel out of your lie, asshole.

Now kiss my conservative truthful ass, shiteater.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Mr. Doofus?

That wasn't very nice of you. You missed all the links I posted that differ from what you say.

Plus you have to realize that unemployment numbers can go down at the same time that job losses are occurring.

It's in the nature of how they calculate unemployment.

There sure did use a lot of expletives in your post.

Are you having a panic attack?

Ask your doctor if Paxil is "right" for you.

[-] 0 points by aflockofdoofi (-18) 12 years ago

Just admit you were lying, ok? You made it up works or you really didnt know, OK?

But quit lying and admit I am right.

And admit you are back peddaling by parsing employment stats. Just say, " I was wrong." For goodness sake, these are Wisconsin's own stats.

[-] 0 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

I wasn't lying, I did provide links.

All unemployment stats are parsed.

You do understand the difference between employment stats and unemployment stats?

[-] 0 points by aflockofdoofi (-18) 12 years ago

Your links are all left wing oriented except for the National Review and one other so inherently they have bias. I am honest enough to accept that the National Review should be acceptable to conservatives and should not be argued against. However you need to accept that a state isnt going to fudge its own stats and accept please that Wisconsin is NOT bleeding jobs, that you were being dramatic and inflammatory. Just admit you were wrong and i can accept that. If you cant admit error, then I pity you.

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Did you talk to your doctor yet?

At best employment number are arguable. At least among people that live there.

For the life of me, I cannot fathom why private citizens would align themselves with public employee unions, whose interests are in direct opposition.

It goes directly to the complete idiocy of liberals and their sheeple mentality of supporting any "Union" without adequately understanding what that precisely means.
