Good stuff and, yes, it costs much more when including ER visits, arrests for vagrancy and all other little things that people do not see.

Very nice, GirlFriday. It is doable.

I think it is doable, too. In fact, it is imperative. :D

For some reason we have zero points for saying so. LOL! Who on earth would be against helping the homeless? Hmm....

[-] 3 points by GirlFriday (17435) 12 years ago

It's ok. We don't need to know the players as long as we recognize the game. :D

Thanks for this post.

This issue can not be dropped.

Our government Federal and State should be working together with ( say ) Habitat for Humanity and other organizations currently in existence that are supporting the end of homelessness.

These organizations already have much of the needed process in-operation.

Let them help us to recover abandoned homes and house the homeless in a proactive and prosperous manner.

There is a plan called Opening Doors but there are multiple problems in collecting information that I believe they are working on. Some of these problems are inherent when you have x amount of players involved.

Yep. Let us all support this movement. We have the abandoned properties, we have good people who are homeless. Let us push this program forward to get people housed and expand the tax base in our communities to make them stronger as we go forward. Health and prosperity common cause.

Agreed. Did you read about Occupy Atlanta?

No, they should work together to end mass dependency and promote the environment necessary for you to EARN IT YOURSELF.

I must say that you picked an appropriate user name to describe your self.

And you're an obvious socialist living in your bubble of reinforcement.

Idea for the day: someone has to earn what you want to give away.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

That is where your fundamental misunderstanding begins I see.

No one is here looking for a hand out.

We are here to address greedy/corruption.

We are here to support the return to fair play and responsible/accountable business practice.

Health and prosperity for "All".

Hope your taking notes. You may want to go over them for awhile before saying something else that is just plain dumb.

[-] -1 points by Loserville (-13) 12 years ago

Sure, someone ELSE'S greed. There's never a mention of BORROWER'S greed of the greed of those that want free healthcare, free housing and on and on... health and prosperity for "all" as you put. No doubt, no matter what or at whose expense.

Tackle homelessness. Preserve the opportunity to earn it.

Again another fine example of hole digging.

So new to the forum but starting off with such vigor.

Do you intend to dig a new trade route through to China?

Posting in the OWS nuthouse, the more negative the number, the more I'm doing my job of spreading reason and self-reliance to a group of people deeply in need of hearing it.

Or are you just masochistic?

[-] 0 points by Loserville (-13) 12 years ago

No, a missionary for reason, responsibility taking, and preserving opportunity as a way to a better life. All radical stuff, I know. LOL.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

Well you could be off to a better start.

They know this stuff. The problem is that the old guard has a saying, "Hungry People Work".
