Saving American Democracy - January 3, 2012
Sen. Bernie Sanders will be a guest on The Colbert Report tonight to discuss his Saving American Democracy Amendment. Bernie’s amendment to the Constitution would reverse a Supreme Court ruling that lets corporations spend unlimited and undisclosed amounts of money to influence elections.
The Colbert Report airs on Comedy Central at 11:30 p.m. ET/ 10:30 p.m. CT.

Signed.
Thanks for posting it.
Hi Zen. Signed. Best Regards, Nevada
Hi Nevada - I bet you signed it a long time ago.
signed... 199007 signatures so far
seems to be moving kindda slow
I think the numbers reset - when I signed it the numbers were between 12,000 and 13,000 - I watched them climb over a day or two, and sometime after they hit 150,000 they did go back to the low thousands, possibly to zero - don't know.
It would be interesting to have an accurate total on those numbers.
Is that the one that says corporations are like individuals therefore they can donate whatever they want?
I guess you haven't looked to see, have you.
Which means you haven't signed it either.
Yup, that's the one. Signed!
Ah, cool
I wasn't sure if you were messin with me or not. I should have put up more info on it - wasn't really thinking when I posted it.
No man, it's on me, I was Xboxing and didn't click the link, just asked the question. lol.
that's cool. I loose track of who is who around here - no icons to associate political ideology to.
So I forget.
And since you really aren't the only person around here - I really should have put more info up - I've several links handy in a text file. It wouldn't have been hard to do.
I jus' wan't thinkin'
over 100k signatures, now we'll just need over 1 mil signatures...
I signed it when there were between 12,000 and 13,000 signatures. I watched it for a day or two - maybe three. It climbed to 150,000
and that was a while ago.
They may have a million signatures already.
Believe this, there will never be any shortage of mediocre minded people, like yourself, who are absolutely certain they have a sound grasp on complex problems at the lofty branches, whose root problems are often so simple, the reality would destroy the underpinning of their mobile homes.
I just have to ask . . ..
I invented it, uncreative mind-fawked obama-ist.

the fuckers
the oil industry has an ad running in the Burlington area, it just aired on abc, I've seen it on both nbc and cbs too I'm sure - one or the other if not both.
is part of the ad - I have to capture the whole thing and complain to the fcc I think. From what I understand the oil from the tar sands isn't intended for the U.S. market at all, and if not that is false advertising.
Once I've captured the particulars of the commercial I'll post back here.
Yeah like the FCC has ever done anything about false advertising. Like clean coal ads - what a joke.
well, I guess you have a point.
I think I'll give it a whirl anyway - can't hurt. If I can capture the details of the ad.
Good luck.
I mean it.
Forward environmental change.

It doesn't surprise me that people like you actually believe this will undo the rug long since pulled out from under Americans' feet. This makes you, and people like you, an easy lay.
This petition is worthless and only mediocre minded people, who have no clue, seem able to believe otherwise.
If Bernie believes this will change anything, he's nothing more than just another meat puppet tossing easy lay masses a pacifier.
Big Deal! This won't change the fact that the United States and DC are both incorporated as well as all citizens thereof. Pay attention stoner, your boy is either as stupid as you or is pandering to the stupid masses with this placating and useless bone.
