In regards to taxes on the wealthy and millionaires, Rep. Paul made a point to acknowledge where he may be distinct among other Republicans.
“I’m pretty critical of the wealth of lots of millionaires and billionaires because they ripped us off, they got the benefits and the tax breaks,” Paul said.
In a light-hearted question at the interview’s end, Rep. Paul said the happiest moment in his life, aside from his wedding day and the birth of his children, was when he first opened his medical practice after years of hard-work and schooling.

INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND MILITARY ISSUES
-- This "champion of peace" wanted to prohibit the dismantling of ICBM silos in the U.S.:
H.R.1665: To prohibit the destruction during fiscal year 2002 of intercontinental ballistic missile silos in the United States.
H.R.3769: To prohibit the destruction during fiscal year 2001 of intercontinental ballistic missile silos in the United States.
-- He would continue U.S. opposition to the International Criminal Court, despite the usefulness of this body for prosecuting war-crimes that are not challenged domestically.
H.R.1154: To provide that the International Criminal Court is not valid with respect to the United States, and for other purposes.
H.AMDT.480 (A010): An amendment numbered 9 printed in part A of House Report 107-450 to prohibit funds authorized in the bill from being used to assist, cooperate with, or provide any support to the International Criminal Court.
H.R.4169: To provide that the International Criminal Court is not valid with respect to the United States, and for other purposes.
H.CON.RES.23: Expressing the sense of the Congress that President George W. Bush should declare to all nations that the United States does not intend to assent to or ratify the International Criminal Court Treaty, also referred to as the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, and the signature of former President Clinton to that treaty should not be construed otherwise.
H.RES.416: Expressing the sense of the Congress regarding the International Criminal Court.
Ron Paul has always been a proponent of a strong DEFENSE for the nation. But not offense which is why he would cbring home the soldiers and stop occupying foreign nations like Germany, Italy, Japan, S. Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Libya.
As for the ICC the reason Paul opposes it is because the court is a supranational institution that is not checked by the elective control of the people. i.e. A non-democratic oligarchy..
Just posting facts without the sugary Kool aid most of the apostles of Paul try to sneak into the punch.
So which Republican or Democrat candidate should I vote for instead?
Just curious.
I don't tell anyone who to vote for neither should you. I just post the stuff the Paulites leave out so people can make an informed decision not based on propaganda and half truths.
Okay.
Well until I hear otherwise, I consider Ron Paul the best among the Republican or Democrat candidates. I AM allowed to think in that fashion, correct? Without being called a cool=aid drinker or other insult?
-- He would promote offshore oil-drilling, the construction of more refineries, coal-mining on Federal lands, and block conservation measures. This would further threaten our coastal and internal environments, and further trap our economy in fossil-fuel dependency:
H.R.2415: To reduce the price of gasoline by allowing for offshore drilling, eliminating Federal obstacles to constructing refineries and providing incentives for investment in refineries, suspending Federal fuel taxes when gasoline prices reach a benchmark amount, and promoting free trade.
H.R.4004: To reduce the price of gasoline by allowing for offshore drilling, eliminating Federal obstacles to constructing refineries and providing incentives for investment in refineries, suspending Federal fuel taxes when gasoline prices reach a benchmark amount, and promoting free trade.
H.R.393: A bill to amend section 404 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to restrict the jurisdiction of the United States over discharge of dredged or fill material to discharges into waters which are navigable and for other purposes.
H.R.4639: A bill to repeal all Federal regulations and taxes on the production of fuel.
H.R.5293: A bill to prohibit the imposition of unreasonable severance taxes or fees on coal or lignite mined from Federal lands.
H.R.6936: A bill to prohibit the Secretary of Energy from promulgating any federal emergency energy conservation plan which would restrict recreational boating.
-- He has fought ratification of the Law of the Sea. As President would he "un-sign" it? [More here.]
H.CON.RES.56: Expressing the sense of the Congress that the United States should not ratify the Law of the Sea Treaty.
DISCRIMINATION
-- He has tried to make it easier for racial and ethnic discrimination in our society:
H.R.3863: A bill to provide that the Internal Revenue Service may not implement certain proposed rules relating to the determination of whether private schools have discriminatory policies.
H.R.5842: A bill to make all Iranian Students in the United States ineligible for any form of federal aid.
H.R.4982: A bill to provide for civil rights in public schools.
-- He would propose an amendment to the Constitution to gut the Fourteenth Amendment by denying citizenship to people born here whose parents aren't already citizens "nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States". That latter part could produce some serious political discrimination, especially if radicals can have their citizenship revoked:
H.J.RES.46: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to deny United States citizenship to individuals born in the United States to parents who are neither United States citizens nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States.
H.J.RES.46: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to deny United States citizenship to individuals born in the United States to parents who are neither United States citizens nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States.
H.J.RES.42: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to deny United States citizenship to individuals born in the United States to parents who are neither United States citizens nor persons who owe permanent allegiance to the United States.
Thank you. I would not vote for anyone who has such a mind. May they fade away quickly into the nowhere of never, which seems to be the intent of the many evil bills, they seem to be aimed at some Satan. Is everyone asleep in D.C.? In the spiritual sense, yes, seems so.
Well, don't you think some of our immigration policies are crap. Cmon. We bitch about Latinos' but we have an open door policy for people from the middle east. Last time I checked my mexican friends didn't want to kill me. And they generally integrate into our society better than some others. Legalize drugs then we kill the cartels and we have less problems on our Southern border. We can then issue cards (for a fee and this is not harsh they currently pay some coyote to smuggle them in) so we can collect taxes. All mid east immigration should be scrutinized very closely so that we are not letting in an enemy to attack from inside our own borders. And why should where you are born determine your citizenship anyway? If I was Columbian working here I would return to my home country at some point I would probably take my minor children with me to be good Columbians not Americans. If i was born here by US citizens well then I am American. Whatever happened to applying any kind of logic to our problems rather than fevered passion which I admire in you by the way. But no matter how passionate not all ideas are sound.
not a fan of Ron Lawl. he wants to legalize all illegal drugs.

*Ron Lawl. sorry i can't type today.
That's because Congress never had the power to ban drugs in the first place, just as they don't have power to ban alcohol. See the 10th amendment. The power to ban drugs or alcohol is reserved to the Member States of the union.
True fact.

This from a man who has millions of dollars in toxic gold mining stocks.
Ron Paul has millions? Well that's news to me. Link please so I can see for myself. --- So which R or D candidate should I vote for next election?
Oh and what's wrong with gold? I have some too, because the Fed is running the presses and devaluing the paper dollar by ~3% per year. Gold (or any real asset) eliminates that devaluation tax.
Go to open secrets site and do your own research.
I am not going to go around in circles with a libertarian. And it is a violation of the forum rules for you to incessantly post crap about ronpaul.
I posted 3 Ron Paul threads in two weeks. That doesn't violate anything.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
-- He would limit or try to repeal various environmental protection laws and regulations, including the Clean Air Act, the Soil and Water Conservation Act, and the use of devices that protect the "bycatch" of sea life:
H.J.RES.104: To disapprove a rule issued by the Environmental Protection Agency relating to proposed revisions to the national pollutant discharge elimination system program and Federal antidegradation policy and the proposed revisions to the water quality planning and management regulations concerning total maximum daily load.
H.R.3735: To disapprove a rule requiring the use of bycatch reduction devices in the shrimp fishery of the Gulf of Mexico.
H.R.4423: To amend the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act to provide that the Gulf of Mexico red snapper fishery shall be managed in accordance with such fishery management plans, regulations, and other conservation and management as applied to that fishery on April 13, 1998.
H.R.2504: A bill to amend the Clean Air Act to postpone for one year the application of certain restrictions to areas which have failed to attain national ambient air quality standards and to delay for one year the date required for adoption and submission of State implementation plans applicable to these areas, and for other purposes.
H.R.7079: A bill to repeal the Soil and Water Conservation Act of 1977.
H.R.7245: A bill to amend section 404 of the Federal Water Pollution Control Act to restrict the jurisdiction of the United States over the discharge of dredged or fill material to discharges into waters which are navigable and for other purposes.
Ron Lawl also has a lot of bills relating to the shrimp industry and trying to block competition. Maybe he's in their pocket?
CORPORATE POWER
-- He would repeal significant portions of antitrust law, including the Sherman Antitrust Act, the Clayton Antitrust Act, and others.
H.R.1247: To ensure and foster continued patient safety and quality of care by exempting health care professionals from the Federal antitrust laws in their negotiations with health plans and health insurance issuers.
H.R.1789: To restore the inherent benefits of the market economy by repealing the Federal body of statutory law commonly referred to as "antitrust law", and for other purposes.
-- He would gut the regulatory power of Federal agencies, forcing Congress to micromanage all decisions:
H.R.1204: A bill to an Act to restore the rule of law.
VOTER ISSUES
-- He has come out against attempts to make the United States more democratic, including the idea of eliminating the Electoral College, even after the debacle in the 2000 Presidential election:
H.CON.RES.48: Expressing the sense of the Congress in reaffirming the United States of America as a republic.
H.CON.RES.443: Expressing the sense of the Congress in reaffirming the United States of America as a republic.
-- He wants to repeal the "Motor Voter" Act, which has made it easier for people to register to vote.
H.R.2139: To repeal the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.
Even though he claims to be a "libertarian", he opposes people's freedom to burn or destroy their own copies of the design of the U.S. flag
H.J.RES.80: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States authorizing the States to prohibit the physical destruction of the flag of the United States and authorizing Congress to prohibit destruction of federally owned flags.
H.J.RES.82: Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States authorizing the States to prohibit the physical destruction of the flag of the United States and authorizing Congress to prohibit destruction of federally owned flags.
LAWS IMPROVING THE LOT OF THE WORKING CLASS
-- He has tried to repeal the Occupational Safety and Health Act:
H.R.2310: A bill to repeal the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970.
H.R.13264: A bill to repeal the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970
-- He would like to make it much easier to decertify labor unions:
H.R.694: To amend the National Labor Relations Act to permit elections to decertify representation by a labor organization.
-- He opposes the Minimum Wage:
H.R.2962: A bill to repeal all authority of the Federal Government to regulate wages in private employment.
-- He would deny the prevailing wage to employees of federal contractors, and remove prohibition on kickbacks in Federal projects:
H.R.736: To repeal the Davis-Bacon Act and the Copeland Act.
H.R.2720: To repeal the Davis-Bacon Act and the Copeland Act.
-- He wants to severely weaken Social Security:
H.R.2030: A bill to amend the Social Security Act and the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to make social security coverage completely optional for both present and future workers, to freeze benefit levels, to provide for the partial financing of future benefits from general revenues subject to specified conditions, to eliminate the earnings test, to make changes in the tax treatment of IRA accounts, and for other purposes.
H.R.4604: A bill to repeal the recently enacted requirement of mandatory social security coverage for employees of nonprofit organizations.
-- This includes limits on courts' hearing cases related to abortion, and he has introduced bills specific to these kinds of cases. He also uses the deceptive term "partial-birth abortion".
H.R.1545: To prohibit Federal officials from paying any Federal funds to any individual or entity that performs partial-birth abortions.
H.R.1546: To provide that the inferior courts of the United States do not have jurisdiction to hear abortion-related cases.
H.R.2875: To provide that the inferior courts of the United States do not have jurisdiction to hear abortion-related cases.
H.R.3400: To provide that the inferior courts of the United States do not have jurisdiction to hear abortion-related cases.
H.R.3691: To provide that the inferior courts of the United States do not have jurisdiction to hear partial-birth abortion-related cases.
H.R.15169: A bill to eliminate the appellate jurisdiction of the U.S. Supreme Court with respect to certain abortion cases.
He wants to erase the distinction in U.S. law between a zygote and a person
H.R.2597: To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception.
H.R.1094: To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception.
H.R.776: To provide that human life shall be deemed to exist from conception
H.R.392: A bill proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States guaranteeing the right to life.
-- He would deny the use of the Federal court system -- and even Federal precedent -- to people discriminated against because of their religious beliefs or sexual orientation. This would also limit the cross-state recognition of same-sex marriages. Some of these bills he cynically calls this the "We the People Act".
H.R.300: To limit the jurisdiction of the Federal courts, and for other purposes.
H.R.4379: To limit the jurisdiction of the Federal courts, and for other purposes.
H.R.5739: To limit the jurisdiction of the Federal courts, and for other purposes.
H.R.3893: To limit the jurisdiction of the Federal courts, and for other purposes.
H.R.1547: To restore first amendment protections of religion and religious speech.
H.R.4922: To restore first amendment protections of religion and speech.
H.R.5078: To restore first amendment protections of religion and speech.

NOT HARDLY.
If Ron Paul was pro-corporatist, as you claim, then he'd be plastered all over the TV News channels because that's who they would want to win.
The fact that Mr. Paul is Anti-corporatist, and refuses to accept their corporate donations, is why he's getting the least amount of face time on the news and in debates. The corporations hate him.
Just observe.
Because they know he can't win. They just like making sure his Koch-funded ideas make it into the mainstream R platform. He's the guy that popularizes free market craziness then they pick and choose the policies that suit them. Tools all around.
If Ron Paul was as big of a Corporatist sellout as you claim, then the corporations would MAKE him win with tons of media coverage, positive advertising on their networks, et cetera. He would be their man.
And which D or R candidate do you think is the best man for the job?
MERCK BEING SUED by women for Gardasil poisoning
And the U.S. FDA is recommending this junk? Of course they are... because they are "sold out" just like Congress is sold out to the bankers.
http://www.activistpost.com/2011/11/gardasil-victims-take-legal-action.html
I spent 20 years inventing a health product, that when tested by a Research Team, was found to CURE cancer. One half pound of my powder, destroyed tumors in FIVE MEN who were told they would die soon, with out-of-control cancer. About four months later, we were then keeping many alive, and were about to go into production to bring out product to the market, but suddenly, men in suits, "with no identification, no warant, but two State troopers, and one local cop -- he was the only one... with no gun in hand. They all had their guns out, and tore out all the computers -- remember, NO WARANT -- raided at gunpoint, by a large team of men in dark suits, and two State cops, one city cop, in the corner, by the door, "the only one with no gun. I contacted a woman with a big TV show in Las Vegas, to get some publicity. "Professor," she says, "I believe you. But my audience is tired of this story. I have done over a dozen shows, each with a different victim, and similar story -- each a man like you, who spent a long time working with natural materials, and discovered a method to cure cancer, and each was destroyed by a team of men in suits, with one or two local cops, with them, never showed warants, and you are one of two who is trying to fight back. Most just folded up," she said, but my audience is tired of this story. It's the FDA. They work for Corporate. Law does not matter to them. They have said so openly. Their NAZI corporations are their masters. The FDA also approved CANOLA OIL for a huge "gift" of $23,000,000.00 and CANOLA OIL DESTROYS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM. CANOLA OIL is toxic, and accumulative. It wrecks your THYMUS Gland -- the Master Gland. No insects will eat the RAPE plant, and worse, most Canola is GMO, and GMO also destroys your body -- in five generations, you are STERIL. So the FEDS clearly have a NAZI policy of population control, and now CANOLA OIL is in almost everything because "it costs less" -- the typical Republican battle cry for all life: PROFIT above all. These folks are both obscene anti-Christ losers, and obsolete. They stole our government, and seek our death in slow motion so we don't really notice, as usual, they are "under the Color of Law". Most Congress people are in the Lawyer profession. They are a breed famous for no heart and no spine -- whores at heart. We need different people in those positions.

Only person serving BigPharma (and Big Insurance and RIAA/MPAA) is Barack Obama.
And Herman Cain (who serves the Fed which serves all corporations).
Probably Mitt Romney too.
Not Ron Paul who refuses donations from any of those corporations. Ron Paul is the only Good candidate amongst the D and R parties.
An0n is a TR0LL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW the FDA serves MERCK and other corporations, not the people. That is why they have now recommended that all pre-teen girls and boys receive Gardasil shots to prevent vaginal cancer. I suppose it makes sense for girls, but boys??? Why?
Boys don't have vaginas. Answer: Because Merck bribed the FDA to push the product.
Umm, because boys can pass HPV on to girls?
Nope. That theory was debunked a long time ago. Boys can't pass HPV to girls, but of course the FDA is ignoring that because Merck told them to ignore it.
BTW why do you find it so hard to believe the corporations have control of the FDA? They've got control of congressmen.
HPV can cause cancer in men as well, and it can cause genital warts, which can be a recurrent lifelong embarrassment. If the vaccine works, it should be offered to both sexes because it protects both. I believe that, at the very least, Gardasil works on the most prominent wart causing forms of HPV. There is no reason to be sexually biased as to who has to suffer from that and who doesn't.
Actually recent studies show HPV doesn't cause cancer in either sex. "Most infections are short-lived and not associated with cervical cancer."
http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2003/NEW00890.html
Neither is Gardasil effective to prevent HPV: http://louisville.edu/medschool/med-peds/residents/journal-club/11-07%20Article.pdf
The foremost link does not work. The latter link is a report explaining that Gardasil, which is a vaccine (i.e. preventative) can not be used as a cure (i.e. ameliorative). The second report also seems to counter the argument that you were trying to make with the first link in that it notes that infection by one form of HPV is required to develop cervical cancer. I'm not saying you're wrong, but your facts do not support your conclusions.
LOL u suck dude. The website http://blog.pharmexec.com/'s tagline is "for GLOBAL business and marketing LEADERS"
No wonder they are bashing RonPaul.
Which is why they love that idea.
retard.
I see a lot of people hating on RonPaul and the "Free Market" as if it would just be completely unregulated. Couldn't be more wrong.
In 1999, RonPaul opposed the GRAMM-LEACH-BLILEY ACT which repealed the Glass–Steagall Act. Glass-Steagall was a law that established the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in the United States and introduced banking reforms, some of which were designed to control speculation.
He is also credited in the congressional record as saying this about government regulations: "The better alternative is to repeal privacy-busting government regulations."
His official stance on REGULATION for 2012:
Repeals ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank, and Sarbanes-Oxley. Mandates REINS-style requirements for thorough congressional review and authorization before implementing any new regulations issued by bureaucrats. President Paul will also cancel all onerous regulations previously issued by Executive Order.
So basically he wants to keep ALL current regulation except ObamaCare, Dodd-Frank (because we don't need it without a Fed), and Sarbanes-Oxley and those made by Presidential Decree. He is not for abolishing the important regulations that hold a society together.
Abolishing the Fed would create economic gridlock. Being an MD does not seem to make for an understanding of how the central bank functions. His wide open free trade stance would finish the job of destroying the working class.
Our economy worked just fine w/o the Fed before 1913. Why? Because Congress and the U.S. Mint fulfilled the role of regulating the economy. It would certainly work again today.
That's why Ron just spoke at the Cato Institute. He just hate those Koch boys. Between Cato and John Birch Society he can't get enough of the rich Koch family
The Cato Institute was founded in 1977 by Edward H. Crane, who remains president and CEO, and Charles Koch, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the conglomerate Koch Industries, Inc., the second largest privately held company (after Cargill) by revenue in the United States.[2][3]

INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS -- He opposes the right of women to be free to control their own reproductive systems if they happen to live in particular states or other countries, or if they work for the Peace Corps.
Ron Lawl introduces three pro-life bills
H.R.1095: To prohibit any Federal official from expending any Federal funds for any population control or population planning program or any family planning activity.
H.R.777: To prohibit any Federal official from expending any Federal funds for any population control or population planning program or any family planning activity.
H.R.1548: To prohibit any Federal official from expending any Federal funds for any population control or population planning program or any family planning activity.
H.AMDT.1003 (A024): Amendment no. 17 printed in the Congressional Record to prohibit the use of funding for abortion, family planning, or population control efforts.
H.AMDT.380 (A022): An amendment no. 9 printed in the Congressional Record to prohibit funding for population control or population planning programs; family planning activities; or abortion procedures.
H.AMDT.312 (A011): An amendment, printed as amendment No. 32 in the Congressional Record of July 16, 1997, to prohibit the use of funds appropriated in the bill for Family Planning, birth control or abortion.
H.R.4984: A bill to prohibit the use of funds for the Peace Corps to be used for travel expenses of individuals in order for abortions to be performed on those individuals.
He is runing on corporation platform the GOP so he is not an angle
Should Ron Paul run on the DNC platform instead?
They are just as big of sellouts for the "corporate platform" as the other party,,,,, perhaps moreso if you look at the bills Pelosi, Reid, and Obama have signed into law these last five years.
are you sugesting that they are the same ?

hello Ron
if there is every a disconnect from the democratic party base,
it is that Democrat wage Wars just like Republicans
Thank you mods for removing the Lawl factor. About time you took yourselves seriously.
It's Ron Paul, not Ronn Paul.
How did you do that??? Every time I type Ron Lawl it gets censored (as you can see).
Type two spaces between Ron and Paul.
excellent. Most forums strip the extra space, but I guess this isn't one of them. Ron Paul is the only Good candidate amongst the D and R parties.
on use a capitol i instead of and l Ron PauI 2012
This idiot An0n actually quoted a BigPharma supported website for a link disparaging RonPaul.
People in the government really ARE stupid..
Sorry if you can't read. It was a positive write up for Paul, by big pharma.
