Mitt Romney IS a vulture capitalist who I would not vote for for dog catcher. Please go to youtube and search for the video "When Mitt came to town full complete version". Also go to google and put in "Bain Romney money photo" and take a good look at that photo. This video and the photo shows us that it is all about the money for Romney and NOTHING about creating jobs. There are alot of people that try to defend Romney by saying "Look, Bain invested in businesses and sometimes the business survived and thrived and other times the business died and that's just capitalism". The problem with this defense is that how come regardless of whether the business thrived or died under Bain, Bain ALWAYS came out of these deals ahead many, many millions of dollars? If Bain came in legitimately trying to save/improve a business and then the business failed, you would think that Bain would lose money on that deal. That does not seem to be the case. Bain always comes out smiling regardless of what happens to the business. In some cases people's pension funds were raided and then the taxpayer had to make good on that! So you see that photo with the Bain guys with the money between their teeth? As far as I'm concerned That's people's pension money that Bain stole from them! I will tell you that this is personal to me right now because I'm a union member for Verizon and they are currently trying to get their mitts (no pun intended) on the union workers pension money. The corporation is healthy and the CEO's made 49 million dollars last year and yet they want to take away my pension, healthcare and they send American jobs to India and the Philippines. Are these people really the "job creators"? They seem more like middle class destroyers to me.

Who are the Job Creators?

We all are, when we buy something. It's called demand.

In corroboration of your fundamental point :

  • "'Middle Class CONSUMERS are the ‘Job Creators’ (Must Watch 6 Minute Video) - "Who is Nick Hanauer ? Nick Hanauer is a venture capitalist from Seattle, whose speech at the TED University conference was deemed "too politically controversial to post on their web site." So here it is : http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article31848.htm .

One more 'silver bullet' for The Romulan :

  • "Mitt Romney Adviser - 'Real Americans' Don't Care About Candidate's Afghanistan Policy ; A senior adviser to Mitt Romney declined to provide more specific details on the presumptive GOP nominee's plan for Afghanistan on Thursday, saying it was a distraction from what "real Americans want to talk about.", by Amanda Terkel : http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/19/mitt-romney-afghanistan_n_1687081.html .

Well then tell me - if the "middle class consumer" are the job creaters, where are the jobs?

[-] 2 points by shadz66 (19985) 12 years ago

FFS, 'SteveJeRK' !!! The current pauperisation of "the middle class" (which I actually hold, believe and can prove is really 'The Working Class') -means far less demand and far fewer jobs !! Geddit ?!

And where does the income come from to buy something? It comes from businesses - either owned or working for one.

romney is a felon

[-] 2 points by elf3 (4203) 12 years ago

SEC fillings show Romney was CEO of Bain Capital while the lay-offs and outsourcing occurred. Do we want a president who advocates selling out Americans so rich stock holders who don't do any of the real labor to build a company can profit off of the backs and work of those who do?

[-] 2 points by ComeTogetherNOW (650) 12 years ago

Can we say "Bain Fart" !!!

With this alone, how can anyone really vote for Mittney???

Do they just blatantly want to destroy our Country?

The truth is ignorance is wide spread. We need to educate the public. Get active and do something to save our country from those who intend to destroy it for the rich so they may have the spoils.

Is not this income inequality enough of a sign that we have lost our way under the grand GOP mythology of trickle down and giving tax breaks to those rich job makers.

Wake UP! Smell the Truth, and act upon it!!!

Excellent Roundup! Thanks! Factual information is the way towards truth.

Romney is self destructing. The GOP has dark clouds ahead as Americans all over this nation wake up and can no longer deny what's happening to us all. Especially as our Climate Change side effect begins it's onslaught. Clean Coal, ever hear of clean dirt and scum? I have.

'CTNOW' : Thanx and further to your comment re. 'The Romulan', I also append :

  • "Did Mitt Romney Pay ZERO Taxes ? -- A Shocking Possibility. Our tax code is broken — really broken. It’s rigged for the rich and against the middle class. How rigged ? It’s possible that Mitt Romney paid no federal taxes at all in 2009, which would explain why once again today he said he wouldn’t release any tax returns from before 2010." : http://thinkprogress.org/progress-report/did-mitt-romney-pay-zero-taxes/ .

[-] 2 points by ComeTogetherNOW (650) 12 years ago

He will NEVER release those tax returns, period. He will lose if he does. He thinks he can win regardless. We need wrap these returns around Romney's neck and expose him for his hypocrisy.

Well maybe not but you'd invest with Buffet if you had the ability and he is the very same. So I think this is just more "I'm afraid we're going to lose" partisan BS.

VOTE OBAMA!! He will truly save us!

[+] -4 points by SteveKJR (-497) 12 years ago

So tell me, how many jobs did the Obimination create while he was in the private sector as a businessman who owned a business/businesses or managed a business/businesses and how profitable were those businesses?

[-] 3 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

If all of these investments of Bain in the Caymans, Bermuda, Ireland, Germany and, yes, Switzerland, were creating a lot of American jobs, don't you think some intern would have spent at least a semester adding them up?

And what was that number again? What? I didn't hear you?

[-] 3 points by ComeTogetherNOW (650) 12 years ago

He created 4.5 million private sector JOBS as President.

Tell me, how many of those kind of JOBS did Romdee create?

And, most importantly, do you want Romdee to release his tax returns?

Come Together NOW

[-] -2 points by SteveKJR (-497) 12 years ago

Obama didn't create one private sector job with private sector money - it was all "tax money" - your money and mine.

Does that 4.5 million include jobes created by the stimulus that Bush was responsible for that the Obimination don't want to claim as part of his 5 trillion debt?

[-] 1 points by ComeTogetherNOW (650) 12 years ago

Your defending Bush? What?

Didn't you get the memo?

[-] -1 points by SteveKJR (-497) 12 years ago

No, I am not defending Bush - just trying to make a point that the Obimination takes credit for all the jobs created by the stimulus but doesn't want to put it on his record as part of the debt he created.

[-] 3 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

So tell me ( as I think this is the comparison you are trying to make ), how many jobs did the Mittens create? As I could be mistaken - but I do not think Mittens ever started a company/business. I believe he made money off of existing businesses, loaded at least one with debt and let it go bankrupt. Outsourced work didn't he? well that may or may not have created jobs - but it was not in the USA. Bain Capital? He was (is?) President. But did he create the raiding firm? How many are employed at Bain? Does that make up for the company he tanked?

Also have a look at this and then tell me about who might be better in the position of potus ( myself? I kind of like Jill Stein )

[-] -2 points by SteveKJR (-497) 12 years ago

The question I posed was - how many jobs did the Obimination create working in the private sector using private sector money instead of taxpayer money?

How many companies did the Obimination operate or manage in the private sector and how profitable were they?

I know for sure that Romney knows how to operate or manage businesses in the privat sector - can't say the same about the Obimination.

He is clueless especially when he stated that businesses shouldn't take credit for creating jobs - he seems to think it's the governments job.

Socialist thinking at best.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

So I take it that you didn't watch the video?

[-] 0 points by SteveKJR (-497) 12 years ago

Yes, I watched part of the video and it's all political hype. Just because ToysRUS was owned by Baine doesn't mean that Baine had anything to do with decisions made by ToysRUS CEO's.

Because unlike a shifty, money grubber, Obama was a community organizer. And before you go making fun of such a noble endeavour, you should really contemplate what that says about this nation. Only here in the 'States can such a calling be deemed bad. I'd say a community organizer has more of a knack to lead a democracy than a CEO whose skills would better be utilized being a tyrant or a king.

[-] 0 points by SteveKJR (-497) 12 years ago

Right, a "community organizer" lives off the public dole, uses public money to make themselves look like they accomplished something

Could the Obimination do that in the private sector - no - because he wouldn't know how.
