Forum Post: Romney has God's endorsement? Oh no, he doesn't

Posted 12 years ago on Sept. 9, 2012, 11:57 p.m. EST by brightonsage (4494)

That's what he says. Of course, he can't show you that document either.

But gee, has he ever lied to you?

I mean, boy has he ever!

Of course breaking God's confidence is something that would make some people a little nervous because if God wanted us to know, do you really think he would have somebody with Mitt's record tell us? Really?

Sorry, too late. God has changed his mind. Endorses Ron Paul instead. http://www.policymic.com/articles/10748/ron-paul-gets-his-biggest-endorsement-yet-straight-from-god

Due to a typo, it is GOProud that endorses nonChristian Mitt Romney, not GOD Proud.

http://www.usanewsfirst.com/2012/06/24/homosexual-goproud-endorses-non-christian-mitt-romney/

Pat Robertson says, "God told him" But Robertson's endorsement may not even matter because earlier this year, the televangelist revealed that ""God had already told him who the next president would be -- and it's a secret.:

I don't like to be conspiratorial or to pick on people's faith, but looking at actions I think is fair. The simple truth is if you give certain treatment to one person because they are part of a group and a different treatment to some one who isn't, you are creating conflicting loyalties. Romney belongs to a group that is deeply vested in this tradition, he was at one time a high leader in that group.

Harvard?

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

was he a bishop there as well?

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

Thus he became one of only fifteen students to enroll at the recently created joint Juris Doctor/Master of Business Administration four-year program coordinated between Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School.[62]

impressive, still student is no stake president

[-] 1 points by yobstreet (-575) 12 years ago

What is a "stake" president? Wasn't Obama himself a Harvard grad? Who was his sponsor?

[-] 0 points by marvelpym (-184) 12 years ago

"if you give certain treatment to one person because they are part of a group and a different treatment to some one who isn't, you are creating conflicting loyalties Romney belongs to a group that is deeply vested in this tradition"

That group of course being the entire human race. If you want to explain away your reglious bigotry, you'll have to do better than that.

[-] 3 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

I don't care what people believe but I do care about what they do, If it is your belief that you should sacrifice babies to your God I don't have to judge your religion to oppose what you do.

[-] -1 points by marvelpym (-184) 12 years ago

How do you feel about Jews or Catholics? Be honest. This stuff got that little German guy elected back in the '30's, maybe it will help your man Obama.

[-] 3 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

How do you feel about what I actually said, are you cool with voting for someone who is going to ask what church you belong to before he decides on your case?

[-] 0 points by marvelpym (-184) 12 years ago

You didn't say anything about a case, just accused Romney of belonging to a group that does what every group in the history of mankind has done aigot.s a way of making yourself feel better about being a b

Anyway, congrats on living in 1960. Hopefully you can catch up with the rest of us one day.

[-] 3 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

Kennedy came right out and told us how he felt.

You may be cool with "whatever" but I live in Arizona I see what it means when people ask first about your church, not that it's not somewhat hidden.

I have never seen such loyalty among those you keep bringing up as I see in Romney's group, have you?

If English confuses, no there is no "case", I'm saying when you have something to present.

[-] -1 points by marvelpym (-184) 12 years ago

So you hate Mormans. Just admit it.

[-] 3 points by bensdad (8977) 12 years ago

classic - tell others what they believe

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

I am aware that there are those that must "hate" before they ask a question, I don't count myself among them.

[-] 0 points by marvelpym (-184) 12 years ago

You are not alone. Everybody has their reasons for not supporting a candidate. There are bigots who aren't voting for Obama because he's half black and there are bigots who aren't voting for Romney because he's Morman.

[-] 2 points by factsrfun (8342) from Phoenix, AZ 12 years ago

When people see questions as attacks, it usually means they have something to hide. Myself I think it is an act of treason to vote for any Republican in any race.

Skin color and religion aren't the same. We don't get to choose our skin color, but we do get to choose our religion.

[-] -2 points by brudlo (-454) 12 years ago

it has nothing to with skin color. im not voting for obama because of his ideology. AND millions of others will do the same.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

Whats wrong with his so far mostly lip service ( for various reasons ) ideology?

You don't want good education?

You don't want more and better paying jobs?

You don't want the tax burden shared fairly?

You don't want lower cost health care accessible to everyone?

You don't want loop holes shut down on the wealthy and corpoRATions?

What do you dislike about his ( apparent ) ideals?

[-] 2 points by NVPHIL (664) 12 years ago

If we are serious about education we should have a more internet based less structured curiculam. The early years of our lives is the time to expose them to as muh knowledge as possible. The current system holds us back. If you learn what the teacher has to teach the first time you have to wait hours or days for the rest of the class to catch up. As for high school the person who thought putting hundreds ofimmature emotionly unstable kids in a single building for hours a day must have been crazy. School isn't social time it is a time to learn.

[-] -1 points by brudlo (-454) 12 years ago

you dont need obama to get a good education. the role of govt is not to create jobs. they should get out of the way of private industry. the highest earners pay most of the taxes. 40% ( who are not " rich") dont pay any taxes , obamcare raised the cost of " healthcare", and the largest taxes will kick in starting 2013. anyone ( before obamacare) could get their medical problems taken care of, medicaid, clinics, doctors willing to work with patients financial situations. what loop holes? like the one obama and his wife used to individually gift their daughter with $ 26,000 each? that money was untaxed. the current adminstration is shutting down coal plants , not allowing drilling. this country has more untapped energy than any other country in the world and obama stands in the way of it coming on to the market. what president tells the people that the business s that they started and worked their entire lives to make successful " you didn't build that"? by the way obama didnt " save" the auto industry, he bailed out the uaw. gm loses $ 49,000 on every chevy volt they sell and they arent selling many, in fact , they stopped production on it. look up angus king and independance wind. its worse than solyndra. obama is buying a senator. the obama directed doj suing states that wont roll over for him , like arizona.

yep, that's an classic ad hominem

replacing the healthcare argument

with a tax shelter for a private education fund argument

..

.anyway healthcare cost 1/2 of what it costs in the US in other tech countries

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

LOL

[-] 2 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

Hey, be serious now. If God endorsed me, I would keep my lip buttoned and after I had won (his miracles to perform) and when they told me, I would say, "I knew that."

A lot of times when I tell my minions something, I don't tell them, "LISTEN, IF YOU BLAB THIS, I'M GONNA DESTROY YOUR LITTLE INSIGNIFICANT WORLD." They already know that. So, when I tell them, they just know to keep it zipped, you know?

So, Mitt really is a nit wit, need any more proof? I thought not.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

If people can not see it in his eyes - they are blind - same goes for his partner in crime ayn.

All of that serial killer stuff that enthralled that sick little Ayn? Yeah I have seen some of that stuff - her inspiration for atlas shrugged. I saw an interview with her by Mike Wallace - she looked unhinged. Mike could have done a better job but he was young and TV/media was more polite in those days.

I thought God told Michelle Bachmann to run

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

Yeah, but she ran the wrong way. She ran to the right of Atilla the Hunn.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Don't forget, he told Perry too.

That's one strange God they have.

Now He wants Romoney, because he has more money and used to be a Bishop?

A little more continuity is in order.

[-] 0 points by LetsGetReal (1420) from Grants, NM 12 years ago

When and where did Romney say that?

[-] 1 points by LetsGetReal (1420) from Grants, NM 12 years ago

Again, nothing about Romney claiming he has God's endorsement.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

It's in the thread title, but he probably flip flopped on that too.

It's what he do.

Hmmmm. Pin the tale(sic) on the politician!!!

Sounds like fun.......:)

Election by dunk tank could be amusing too.

[-] 1 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

His God is Money - Right? Or Was That - False people - corpoRATions?

Or does he sit at the feet of the false people ( corpoRATions ) to admire how much of His God ( money ) that they have managed to collect?

Sick anyway you care to look at it.

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

If Bachmann, or Beck, shoot, even Hagee, had told us, WoW. That would be a pony of another hue, now wouldn't it?

You bet your Mickey Mouse Club credentials, it would. If he would even show it to us in Li'l Orphan Annie code, well, that would be different. Carry some cred, so to speak.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

Li'l Orphan Annie was adopted by Daddy Warbucks

suggestion the US was saved by the military industrial complex

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

I am talking about the Lil Orphan Annie decoder badge from Christmas Story.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Which one/ones?

Does this mean Bachmann and Perry are on the outs with God now?

Their God/Gods must be awfully damned fickle.

I see Romoney has Pats endorsement too.

[-] 2 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

Lies, numbers 14 27 48 and 56. Oh, and then all of the odd numbered one's between 514 and 11,926. They were the worst.

Unless they can show you the endorsement, I guess so. They say, 'He never writes, he never calls....'

Look, we are all getting tired of being misunderquoted, Just ask George. I personally am thinking of retracting my endorsement of Romoney, so how could I blame God? The guy is a loose lipped cannon, if you know what I mean?

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Pat Robertson will save the day and keep the gays away too.....:)

[-] 2 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

Sure, he claimed God's endorsement too. But you don't see his picture on a quarter, do you?. Well, DO YOU?

[-] 2 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

Not yet anyway.

Hey, if the gold bugs get their way, he could be on a gold dollar.

Get rid of that Susan B Anthony shit. Purge the Woman voters is next on the list of things to do...........:)

[-] 2 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

Can you imagine how small a gold dollar would be today? Got bigger pieces of dirt in both eyes right now.

[-] 2 points by DKAtoday (33802) from Coon Rapids, MN 12 years ago

LOL - don't set it down outside a breeze could carry it away.

[-] 2 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

Foiled again.

[-] 1 points by shoozTroll (17632) 12 years ago

That would work. Just cover some pot metal with colored tin foil and call it gold!!!

humans are pretty much the same

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

That isn't their point. They say that Jews emigrated to America thousands of years ago and Indians are their descendents. DNA doesn't support this.

[-] 1 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

I'm not sure DNA could support that

is the a specific gene isolated that identifies a person of jewish decent ?

Obama has been claiming "providence" himself... I assume then that God has spoken to both of these individuals and since I myself have not been invited to partake of these otherworldly conversations, who am I to say they did not occur?

[-] 0 points by MattLHolck (16833) from San Diego, CA 12 years ago

we have only had "christian" presidents for over 100 years

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

Naaah, there were some deists and some who weren't quite sure. They didn't have polls then.

[-] 0 points by LetsGetReal (1420) from Grants, NM 12 years ago

When and where did Romney say that?

[-] 1 points by LetsGetReal (1420) from Grants, NM 12 years ago

That says the opposite.

"Mitt Romney is just about the only Republican who hasn’t claimed God’s endorsement to run." (emphasis added)

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

That would obviously mean that he has it by a process of elimination, right? God would only endorse a Republican right?

[-] 1 points by LetsGetReal (1420) from Grants, NM 12 years ago

No, it would not. Your original post says that Romney says he has God's endorsement. I asked where and when he said that. You have provided two links, one of which says the opposite and the other which doesn't say what you claim. It's looking like you made it up.

[-] 0 points by niphtrique (323) from Sneek, FR 12 years ago

After the elections we will see who God wants to become President.

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

Or maybe not. Look at the guys who have been president in the past. And what does that tell you?

[-] 1 points by niphtrique (323) from Sneek, FR 12 years ago

I am not joking. I am working on a research topic called "The universe as a virtual reality" and there is ample evidence that we are simulations of humans in a virtual reality, and that God has total control:

http://www.naturalmoney.org/coincidents.html

I know that spook stories do not fly here, as I consistently get negative ratings for them, but based on the presented evidence there seems to be no other viable conclusion than that this universe is a virtual reality.

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

You are virtual, cogito ergo sum.

[-] 1 points by niphtrique (323) from Sneek, FR 12 years ago

I can write a computer programme uttering those words so it must be possible.

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

The sources of phenomena are real. If virtual was real it wouldn't be virtual.

[-] 1 points by brightonsage (4494) 12 years ago

Probably not. Not as powerful as the PACs.
