The man couldnt run water little lone a govt. look at the state Texas is in. Cut the budget to the schools. Some businesses in the oil industry get a tax refund though all while the state runs a deficit. Advocates smaller govt and creating jobs. But has increased the size of Texas govt 9%( or maybe it was 19%) over his term. Almost all job creation has been low paying jobs.

Rick Perry is just the latest in a long line of Texas con men who use free-market cant to attain a position of power from which to reward their cronies.

He's three times as dangerous because he's twice as stupid.

PERRY: I think in America from time to time we have to go through some difficult times — and I think we’re going through those difficult economic times for a purpose, to bring us back to those Biblical principles of you know, you don’t spend all the money. You work hard for those six years and you put up that seventh year in the warehouse to take you through the hard times. And not spending all of our money. Not asking for Pharaoh to give everything to everybody and to take care of folks because at the end of the day, it’s slavery. We become slaves to government.

uh ... yeah

I think he is kinda crazy. I think though he would lose an election against Obama. People would see Rick Perry as Bush, and would find Obama may not be their first choice, but better than Bush.

It's not just you, but other's may disagree, but i hope we can all agree that money peddling towards congress is what needs to end.
