Honestly, I'm rather glad to see this. Essentially I want to see how well this bunch stands up to the same kind of scrutiny and criticism we've gotten from Day 1.

Read the article! The city made the teaparty pay $10k to protest in the same park that Occupy was allowed to use for free. When they asked for their money back, the city decided to intimidate them by auditing their group. Are you saying that your right to free speech is important, but other peoples rights don't matter? Its important for Americans to see this double standard and stand up for each others individual rights, regardless of political views.

I'm saying that I will not stand to protect a group that cheers when we get evicted and pepper sprayed. I will not stand to protect a group that has been fighting what we stand for every step of the way. I will not stand to protect a group that is turning more and more into an arm of the same big businesses that have been wreaking havoc on our economy over the past decade. I will not stand to protect a group that denies basic scientific fact to pander to fundamentalists, or that mongers hate against all who do not share their skin color or worship their god. In short, I will not stand to protect a movement that has nothing to offer this country but fear, hate, and lies.

So you support the violation of their rights, because you believe that your beliefs are somehow better. That is truly unamerican! Oh, and by the way, there is way more violent rhetoric and racism at OWS. Lots of anti-semitic ranting.

And when the anti-Semites and weirdos from the left show up somewhere where I can actually shout them down, cut them off, or audit them, what do you think I'm going to do? I have no patience for conspiracy theorists and xenophobes no matter which side of the aisle they claim to be on. We need actual rational dialogue about what needs to be done, and I'm running out of patience with those who enjoy shouting nonsense and spewing hate.

Your falling prey to the rhetoric. There are racist, angry, mean people in every group. The teaparty protest shouted them down as well. Hell, I don't even like the tea party. Even if i disagree with everything they say, as long as they don't infringe upon others rights, they should be afforded the freedom to speech, without fees and audits. I was just pointing out the hypocracy in this case.
