"There are a lot more reasons not to vote, but this post is getting kind of long. As for proposing an alternative to voting, that is another vast subject, but I will say this: principled nonvoting is a viable alternative. It is not apathetic or lazy or indecisive. Even if I have failed to convince you not to vote, I hope you realize that there is nothing inherently good about voting, despite all the propaganda that says so. Voting is relegated to a decision between predetermined candidates—nonvoting expands the discussion to the current system’s fundamental flaws."

The guy who left a comment has a good point.

"Boycotting elections alone will not oust the oligarchy, but it is the only proven non-violent way to delegitimize a government."

"We've been voting. When did the good guys win?"

"Some say that Einstein defined insanity as repeating the same experiment over and over and expecting different results."

Actually ran out of time, but you get the point. The best thing for democracy is to stop voting. Playing their game ensures their victory, and it is a game of elitist global domination and control.

So... no more voting because it's a scam, is what you're saying?

I simply provided examples of the issue you posted. My own perspective for current society is tactical voting that demands no voting whenever certain principles aren't met by any of the candidates.

If people were capable of it, I would advocate a system based on reason.

Let me introduce you to Departmental Governance. It's a system that changes political parties from

a. crooked campaigns of lies and deceit, designed to divide and conquer the populace

to

b. activist opposition groups standing up for what's right, designed to check and balance government leaders

lets start out with - no politician is perfect - devil OR angel

Lincoln suspended habeas corpus

Bush did amazing things for AIDS in Africa

Nader in 2000: "It doesn't matter who is in the White House, Gore or Bush" & "The only difference between Al Gore and George W. Bush is the velocity with which their knees hit the floor when corporations knock on their door"
No difference? Would President Gore have invaded Iraq?

"We've been voting. When did the good guys win?"
try John Adams, John Quincy Adams, TR, FDR, Lincoln, Bernie

"The best thing for democracy is to stop voting."
the koch brothers would agree & so would all of the republiclans who are passing laws to try to restrict voting. Are you one of them ?

I've been posting Film the police since december 2011 It is strange that its been at 184,000 view since last year.

Security and privacy are not optional. Stand with a broad coalition to demand that the NSA stop watching us: stopwatching.us - Google

I suppose we are to trust google with all our search information. I don't have a problem with that

Absolutely great. Love it. Shocking how in some states recording with audio or video is the same as rape now. May as well rape the cop, you get the same jail time.
