The burning issue centers on the extent that government has been redirected to serve the needs of profit driven special interests in lieu of that which is best for all citizens. I don't think our “founding fathers” ever envisioned that the right of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" would serve as fuel for the corrupt, dishonest, and greedy. What will it take to relight the freedom flame and reignite the rights of the citizenry? A limited campaign period? Free air time for candidates? Public financing? Our country has lost sight of its mission statement. I think if we refocused government to take care of six basic concerns ("HEARTH" (Healthcare, Environment, Academics, Resource allocation, Thrifty Fair Trade, Honor our Home), our country would be much better off.
Exactly, but we need a comprehensive strategy, and related candidate, that implements all our demands at the same time, and although I'm all in favor of taking down today's ineffective and inefficient Top 10% Management System of Business & Government, there's only one way to do it – by fighting bankers as bankers ourselves. The truth about what has happened to the US government would do it, if it was available in a verified fashion. Well, it is but only authority of academia can verify it for the citizen who has had the "dumbing down" imposed upon them, and that authority is too afraid of exposing things, so will not.------ In lieu of that, a cognizant explanation of Article V of the US constitution, by a visible group that has taken the time to understand it, could create conditions that unify Americans enough to begin to demand an Article V convention with solidarity. That would get the blood of conservative America going.
