All of us 99% should stand up and refuse to take part of the "Black Friday" shopping frenzy. This ridiculous example of the American consumer's ease at being manipulated into leaving behind time honored traditions to search for low prices like salivating Pavlov's dogs at a bell ring. The US retail sector has increasingly creeped its hours of operation earlier and earlier in order to seek more and more profit, at what expense? The expense is at workers who often have no choice but accept this for fear of loosing their jobs. Do our service sector workers not have families? Are they not allowed to take part in in time honored American traditions? Their highly paid corporate management structure will not be working, but enjoying time with family and friends. All of the 99% should support one another and refuse to allow the 1% to manipulate our brothers and sisters in their constant search of profits. Please join me in boycotting all Thanksgiving weekend shopping.

You should boycott shopping altogether. Do not buy Christmas gifts, if you should by chance receive one return it. Do not celebrate Thanksgiving, it is a holiday for the 1%.

Materialism and the sponsorship it receives from the 1% are problems. It is one of the many opiates of the masses, but should we abandon a purely American tradition like Thanksgiving? I don't know about that. Maybe reevaluate the meaning and re-brand it as a time of fellowship with family and friends. Also, workers can think of it as a celebration of the bounty of their efforts.

Yes we should abandon Thanksgiving i only serves the 1%. The new America will be a better place without it. Remember a very wise man once said " from him by his ability, to him by his needs" Words to live by. We all need to work for the collective.
