A well-written article, but unfortunately, it is what happens when you break the law and is what getting arrested looks like. I know the OWS arguments: 1) We don't agree with the laws so its ok if we break them 2) they are little laws and not as big as corporations breaking big laws so in the grand scheme of things, the little laws are not important 3) We think they are unconstitutional laws. (Supreme court says no to that so far, but OWS could change that*) 4) Other people should tolerate us blocking their parks/ports/subways because we're actually doing this for them 5) Its not the police's job to stop us, they are protectors. 6) The police are only doing evicting us because the 1% tell them to

Civil disobedience entails willingness for arrest. Public defiance of authorities/corruptbagmen.
