If you wanted to run for office....
and knew that you were a good guy... truly wanted to do the best you could .... to help the Country & the People ....
would you switch Party .... just because you knew you could win by doing so ?
I spent about two years lobbying congress and district gov.. to fund an Architectural Art's Teaching program for the impoverished, homeless & substance addicted ....
Very quickly..I had a Democrat Senator & his staff jump quickly on this project ... promising full support... as well as many others...
A yr & half later ... with no support or progress... a Republican ... liked it ...and started funding it....
Happily I immediately called my leading Dem supporter ... and told them of the progress...
They replied.... "you went to the enemy"... you will no longer get any help from us ....
I was shocked.... I thought they truly like the project...
I asked .... what are you talking about ?... who cares where the funding comes from ?
this is a good project that can help a lot of people ...
they replied....again.... you joined the enemy .... you will not get any help from us !!!

That is common practice. Look at Blue Dogs = republican except for stated party affiliation as a dem so that they could get elected in their area.
yep... I agree ... but how many others here will see it that way ?
Anyone with a lick of common sense? As well as eyes that have been following the action as it happens.
question 2:
If you were really an Independent .... would you pick a side .... because you knew you couldn't get backing or support as an Independent ? ....
Same question as the 1st one = same answer = common practice.
Just another well known fact that turns off the population and disgusts em so much that they just opt out of participating. Why I suggested elsewhere today that candidates be made to sign a binding contract - where failure to perform = immedite loss of office.
If someone found a cure for cancer ....
and the Dems were the first to support it.... the Gop would fight against it .....
or if the Gop were the first to support it.... the Dems would fight against it .....
this... IS where we are at.... We must dismantle both parties...

1st of all. A for real cure? Not a treatment - but a cure. Go in get a vaccination and never get cancer - that kind of cure?
Well . . . . I guess that they would never find the body. The body of the discoverer. It would no doubt be hanging out with Jimmy Hoffa. The cure itself? - Disappear and be remarked upon as a fable - unless you were wealthy enough - thennnnn maybeeee your family would become noted for being very healthy - uncannily healthy - considering the poor life style they lead........................
