Forum Post: Re-Declaration of Independence

The OCCUPY movement should circulate a PETITION to force a NATIONAL REFERENDUM for the people of the United States to adopt and for the government of the United States to implement the following RE-DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE. Some tweaking may be required.

Re-Declaration of Independence We the undersigned adult human citizens of the United States do solemnly avow our inflexible purpose to govern ourselves in a democracy where the power to delegate any and all power of governance belongs equally to all adult human citizens and to no other person or entity. We solemnly confirm our inflexible refusal to submit to tyranny where the power to delegate the power to govern the United States is wielded in any way, shape or form by non-citizens or any kind of collective or entity which is not an individual adult human citizen, or where the power to delegate the power to govern the United States is not given fairly to all adult human citizens. We therefore demand, without reservation, the effective and timely reform of each and every instrument in the entire political system of the United States as necessary to ensure that the power to delegate the power to govern the United States is given fairly to all adult human citizens and to no other person or entity. We do not acknowledge any legal impediment to our goal, therefore any and all legal instruments including the Constitution are to be modified in an effective and timely manner as necessary to ensure that the power to delegate the power to govern the United States is given fairly to all adult human citizens and to no other person or entity. Every provision and requirement of the Constitution, including any consideration of Free Speech, is to be modified strictly and exactly as necessary to ensure that the power to delegate the power to govern the United States is given fairly to all adult human citizens and to no other person or entity. Furthermore, we the undersigned do not hereby enable or advocate any change in the Constitution whatsoever except where strictly and exactly necessary to ensure that the power to delegate the power to govern the United States is given fairly to all adult human citizens and to no other person or entity. Because topical political discourse is an exercise of a citizen's power to delegate the power to govern the United States, the financing of all forms of topical political discourse including campaigns for public office, political documentaries and topical news reporting of any kind shall be provided solely by adult human citizens who are each subject to the same fixed maximum spending limits over time for such topical political discourses where said limits are set and enforced to ensure that a significant majority of citizens are financially able to fully exercise the ideal of equal participation in the delegation of power to govern the United States. Furthermore, we the undersigned forbid any consideration of the content of topical political discourse to inform or affect the financial regulation of said political discourse in any way.
