I just read an article stating that the minimum wage should be raised to $10 an hour. I think so too. I started a petition at the We The People Website. Will you sign it? http://wh.gov/bMl Thank you for all that you do :)
get rid of money system
pointless. if you want to fix wages, it starts by mandating they be evaluated quarterly, pegged to inflation and the cost of living, not the poverty line. stop letting employers push their cost of biz back onto society by perpetuating welfare.
What woud this accomplish?
Just a raise to $10 per hour wouldn't necessarily accomplish that much, but it's better than nothing. Pegging it to the median annual cost of living and then tying it to inflation and reevaluating it every 1 to 3 months would in fact be a great solution. You'd just have to couple it with enough protectionist measures that companies wouldn't just up and leave.
What are the employment and economic repercussions to an arbitrary set wage?
