BIG F##K##G DEAL.
Our corporate fascist controlled Congress subsidizes Big Oil, Big Corn, Big Pharma, Big Banks and a host of other Big Crooks. Hell, the poster child for the "Too Big To Fail" Bailout - AIG - just netted 19.8 BILLION in 90 days - on which they will pay zero taxes - and from which the taxpayers' benefit will be zero.
SO WHAT IS YOUR FRIGGING POINT?!?
Join in the response. Or don't. May not make much difference either way. But the Polish Cavalry charged the Nazi lines - repeatedly - for a reason. I will keep swinging for the same reason. If you have - or expect to have - grandchildren, maybe you should too.
Of course, tariffs are the proper response. China has an industrial policy, we do not -- we have Wall Street mindlessness.
Defense computer chips have even been outsourced to Chinese factories. Could there be a backdoor just for the Chinese -- ya think? How did the Iranians down that drone in one piece? Just maybe . . .

You are comparing apples with oranges, Congress "subsidizing" corpoRAT criminals is not the same thing as directed subsidies. Congress is merely allowing their masters to loot the economy and our pocket.

Let's put tariffs on solar panels, making it even harder for renewable solar energy to displace fossil fuels, and of course protecting the profits of Big Oil from "unfair" competition.

Big corporations spend millions lobbying Washington to have tariffs lowered or removed, so they can use slave labor from Asia, making a greater profit, which raises stock prices, making Wall Street happy. Meanwhile the Americans have no jobs. The US has around 200 import products with tariffs, Australia has 800. Brazil will reduce or remove tariffs in electronics if a product is assembled there. Most US manufactures have plants there now. Both Australian and Brazilian economies are doing well.
Its a good point, and both countries don't warmonger much, and have 2 off the worlds greatest Bio treasures the Amazon Rain Forest, and Great Barrier Reef...
