8 words to reflect upon re 'The Bankster Robber Barons' :

  • Moral Hazard !

  • Short - Termism !!

  • Perverse Incentives !!!

  • Regulatory Capture !!!!

Further, please also try to set a few minutes aside in order to consider :

Size does matter. The Federal government spends about $4 trillion dollars a year. Just the three largest banks, B of A, Chase, and Wells Fargo each have deposits over $1 trillion plus another trillion dollars in assets. Our federal government is dwarfed by big business. No wonder they don't listen to the people. We're just a bunch of ants.

Further to your comment and in tune with this 'forum-post', I append :

Agree.

I doubt that will ever happen since they have most politicians by the balls anyway.

Even Nancy P.is in a state of denial regarding her laundered money matters!

This is just too bizarre to be believable sometimes!

So, what is the real cure for this madness?

Sorry petitions will do nothing, we need a lot more of a serious threat to the banksters. Torches and pitchforks come to mind,. but that seems so last century. I think we need to build more viable alternatives to the money system,. things that take as many people OUT of their control system entirely. This may seem far fetched currently, however things are about to get much more interesting,. and real change, and alternatives to the corrupt monetary system will become much more desirable for most of the 99%.

More anti Obama partisan crap.

Down with Republican bankers! Up with Democrat bankers! More bombs for Libya!

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

Dems handled Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, & Yemen without the repub doctrine of overwhelming force and 1/2 million troop invasion, or 10 year war.

That is progress! Whatever mistakes we made it was light years ahead of republican military use.

Corrupt Bankers hate the fin reform dems put through. Even though your repubs watered it down, delayed implementation and have promised to repeal it before it has been implemented completely.

So down with corrupt bankers. Up with honest bankers.

Peace

Democrat bombs are better! Afghanistan until 2017! Our side can't be wrong!

[-] 2 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

I'm against drone bombings!

I recognize our handling of Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, Iran, is light years ahead of your republican doctrine of overwhelming force.

Dems ended Bush illegal oil war in Iraq. Have begun the ending of Afghan war, has resisted repub war mongerers who have been pressuring for the invasion of Iran.

Sounds like real progress!

End the drone bombings. Vote out repubs who created the atmosphere of fear mongering endless war on terror, and created the unconstitutional partriot act, ndaa, and warrentless wiretaps.

[-] -1 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

LOL!!!

The Republicans made O-bomb-ya sign the NDAA! I love it!!! And they made him expand the warrantless wiretapping program by executive order! Mitch Mcconnel's hand was on the pen!!!

If you want to see yourself, look up groupthink. Until then, everyone in the room is going to keep laughing at you and your unscientific babble.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

Ndaa has been struck down by a dem appointed judge!. No appeal by Pres Obama because he is against it.

Pres Obama ended your repubs definition of waterboarding as acceptable interrogation technic,

Pres Obama ended torture by America.

Pres Obama ended secret CIA prison camps, and extraordinary rendition.

Pres Obama has stopped the fear mongering of your republican party who shamelessly exploited the 9/11 attacks.

Pres Obama has added no new indefinate detention cases. Only your boy Bushs leftovers exist.

Pres Obama has pledged, signed, and attempted to shutdown Gitmo. Your repubs have prevented it.

Those are the facts along with the military use facts I listed in my previous post.

I'm against the drone bombings. I know we've made progress. You ignore the progress because you are a partisan republican who wants to slander Pres Obama by equating his actions with the war crimes of repubs.

[-] 0 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

Do you know the definition of "slander"?

Oh well, anything works when you're in a blind rage, calling names with someone on the internet. LOL

I notice that adorable list did not mention the wiretapping ROFL!!

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

It's a long list of facts. You ignore them because you are a partisan republican.

I ain't in a blind rage. I'm chill.

Republicans ARE the problem.! Elect progressives!

Peace, Republican boy.

[-] 0 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

Obama is a progressive! Elect him! We'll lie to ourselves! Imma go slug down some more antidepressants now to make my despicable life tolerable!

Peace? Good luck with peace, with either party of your murdering friends in charge.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

Pills are not the answer. If you feel your life is despicable you should speak to a professional.

Republicans ARE the problem. Elect progressives

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

Aren't you a republican? Is that horrible? At least I'm not casting aspersions on your parentage.

You know there's a difference. You are being dishonest I guess?

This is a waste. You don't have to respond.

[-] 0 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

I will anyway.

No, I'm not a Republican. I actually told you this, but I shouldn't expect you to attempt to learn from anything you've read. That's just kissing up to the man lol

Republicans are despicable losers, they bomb random countries, run up the debt, steal from the public and tap our phones.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

Wrong. I haven't done anything of the sort.

Peace

[-] -1 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

So you never called me a Republican?

Whoa, you have a short memory.

[-] 1 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

your parents are irrelevant. Are you threatening to insult my parents if I don't say your not a republican?

Have we regressed to 6th grade?

[-] -1 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

I don't know, you're the one who started calling disgusting names. I am happy to debate as long as you don't start labeling and name calling.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

You are a republican. Nothing wrong with that.

Please leave my personal life, parents and such out of the debate.

[-] 0 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

There would be something wrong with it, if it were true. Republicans are despicable losers, easily as bad if not worse than Democrats. But you've never let facts get in your way yet lol

I will gladly leave your parent out of this, if you will admit that your claim about me being a Republican is an unfounded assumption. But for the record, I have two parents.

[-] 0 points by VQkag2 (16478) 12 years ago

Personal attacks betray your weak desperate position.

please refrain from personal attacks.

[-] 0 points by JusticeF0rTrayvon (-58) 12 years ago

Avaaz - Put bankers behind bars

[-] 1 points by freewriterguy (882) 12 years ago

well said, it was announce today on the radio that our government has received 170 million dollars to help foreclosed home victims. 1. I think that hardly scratches the surface of what the banks received when they foreclosed on all those homes including the equity they stole to pay back their bailout. 2. Its the same as writing a check to stay out of jail. Id rather them face the full penalty of the law, let them keep the 170 million, or rather, let them pay back a greater fine not a lesser one, like force them to buy paid for homes for all they defrauded, (bank of america and wells fargo) were specifically mentioned. this is the 2nd time I know of where wells fargo was fined, 117 million for defrauding people by the consumer protection agency.

Neither corporate party will do that. The only ones willing to do it, are the ones that arent on TV.

Vote accordingly.
