"After Sandy, Bloomberg refused National Guard’s help because they have guns

As New York City was just starting to assess the damage from Superstorm Sandy last week, Mayor Michael Bloomberg dismissed asking the National Guard for extra help because “The NYPD is the only people we want on the street with guns.”" http://rt.com/usa/news/bloomberg-national-guard-sandy-024/

He just couldn't stand the idea of having guns "look good" even though the hardest hit neighborhoods needed protection from looters desparately. It was worth it to him to put Sandy victims and their property in further danger. Sick, just sick.

Hm...damaged property and vacant lots become the Mayor's sought after project, bringing in campaign dollars, winning him favors, building his power base. No one ever said he was dumb.

I wondered why the National Guard didn't come in. We did need them.

Does seem to be a trend by those in control, to stifle disaster help.

They seem to be acclimating us to a third-world lifestyle and expectations. That's what they want -- the 1% to be sky people, the 99% mud people fighting for scraps. Evil, evil, evil.
