Forum Post: Psychopath Screening: Excluding Psychopaths from Government

Many instances of corruption and crime in government and society can be attributed to psychopathic individuals. 9/11, Watergate, and similar historical events, for example.

We can now realize the significant benefits of excluding such individuals from social institutions, especially those of high integrity.

I would therefore like to discuss psychopathy screening protocols, their impact thus far, and ways to improve them.

Hi kcv, It would be wonderful to get the psychopaths out of government and corporations. Extreme greed, perversion and need for control, drives them. Notice post about Goldman Sachs and the prostitution/pedophile thing.

It is a great idea. I thought the same & spoke it aloud only days ago. Now I read it here. Hear, hear! These people that serve the people should be screen like the employees at walmart to see if they are fit to serve the people.

Who would administer this "test"? Sounds sort of Orwellian to me. I have another idea, how about we just allow for recall elections and enact term limits (and have plenty of voluntary associations who serve as watchdog groups, transparency in government, no more cozy back room meetings with lobbyists, shit, I'd love to see everything politicians do in the name of the people on live stream). When someone proves to be a sociopathic douche bag, we simply vote their asses out of office. Hopefully we'll become better judges of character over time :)

Psychopathic and sociopathic behaviors are just symptoms of the disease they suffer from.

The actual name of the disease is pleonexia.

The problem lies in getting the Kochs to fund a foundation for a cure.

How about getting them out of management. I feel like I'm part of some social experiment every day at work. How many evaluations, and re-organizations and pressure and jobs can you have put on you for under $27000 a year after taxes? They're all scrambling on cutting staff instead of focusing on ways staff could work better. They are all out of ideas so they come after you - it's a lack of creative thinking. They're too busy thinking about their own splendor and greatness to see the potential in others. Attacking employees seems counter-productive - just get rid of the idiots who think it is. Um employees do a good job when they have good management. Management likes the apprentice style of management because they just throw the work out there let it land on someone with no guidance and then say they were testing them to see if they could rise to the challenge. It's a way of managing without having to lift a finger - then just let the employees take the fall. That's how companies fall though, I've seen it so many times it's sad.
