Forum Post: Proof that the "Defecating On the Flag" picture is fake!

Let's kill this before it spreads around. The picture around this thread about Defecating on the flag is false. First: The flag is already on fire...that would have gotten more attention and condemnation then anything else. Second: It is freezing in New York, in that picture people are in there underwear.

AND the best proof for last. Google "Defecating on Flag" The first thing that comes up on images is THAT SAME PICTURE. If you click on it it leads you here: http://maroonedinmarin.blogspot.com/2009/08/flashback-dissent-which-liberal.html

It's a blog from 2008 detailing some anarchist riots. OWS happened WAY after 2008. Your move, trolls.

Thank you. You blew that lie out of the water. I just checked out the link and scrolled down and saw the pic from the 2008 anachrist protest.

Wow, just how low will people go to discredit this movement. SHAME ON YOU GUYS!!!

It's pathetic and crazy! Keep your eyes open at all times, they will do whatever they can to discredit us. Don't believe anything ever. Its only going to get worse.

[-] 1 points by Windsofchange (1044) 2 years ago

I will. All liars and their lies will be found out--they won't get away with this.

The people using this photo are no different than MSNBC cropping blacks out of TEA Party rally photos to claim they were a racist movement. If neither side can argue on their merits or disagree in a civil manner, we will never advance as a nation. This left/right divide is getting worse and will be the cause of our demise.

I agree with you Jay. There is waaay to much hate out there. I have seen people interviewed about OWS protestors and they were practically foaming at the mouth calling the OWS protestors every horrible thing in the book--overall likening them to terrorists. I know the Tea Party people were demonized badly as well.

Sadly, the powers that be want this. They want this great divide among the American people. They never want to us to stand together for anything. OWS and the Tea Party movement do have some common ground that they can stand on. However, all these bad feelings for one another needs to end. The Tea Party people are not the enemy. We are against the greedy 1% who are deliberately bankrupting the 99%. Remember, United we Stand--divided we fall. We need each other.

You are correct. The powers that be need the left/right divide so that our focus is on each other rather than the politicians and the money powers. I can't stand when people say "all Democrats this" or "all Republicans that". Maybe if people were to quantify such statements with the word "elected" so as to distinguish between the voters and the politicians in each party, we could see that the average person really isn't like those in DC.

The lack of common sense among detractors is two things: Disheartening and encouraging.

[-] 2 points by Halim (135) 2 years ago

True. Wtf is wrong with people googling that and then starting rumors..

It's war people.

The first casualty in any war is the truth.

Kudos for the detective work. ;-)

As is the photo of woman injured on jaw and neck by rubber bullets was from a 2003 protest. The reader is responsible for their ultimate belief when no citations come with pics. Saying that, I have not been able to state truth short of reliable proof and anyone who is desperate to get their cause out there is a red bull crap flag to me. This is the least mature protest in history. It is like a thousand board teens opening the fridge door and Over and over, hoping that a fairy made cookies!

Defecating on the flag sounds cushy. I'll bet it beats out Cottonelle in terms of softness.

These tactics are common. We are in a media war and the anti-OWS thugs will do whatever it takes to get what they want....they learned these tactics from our government and Wall Street.

Wait a minute? The same guys and gals, hailing US joblessness, in the USA, as great news, so long as they make money in India and China, want to discredit this movement, by suggesting that this movement isn't patriotic? How patriotic is enjoying the misery of your fellow citizen, while you make a buck off of undermining the standard of living of most Americans? They are Globalists, not populist Nationalists, after all. [rolls eyes]

What about the one of someone defecating on a police car? Is that one also fake?

[-] 3 points by Halim (135) 2 years ago

Im sick of hearing about that. There are thousands of protestors, one or two are bound do be crazy. Some of you act like it was a group act or an official "OWS" act...Did the general assembly vote for everyone to dedicate on police cars? (...no)

Have you ever heard of the word "empowerment"? It appears to all that your group with a failure to denounce has empowered every form of radicalism. What it amounts to approbation. And it reflects directly on the core intellect. There is a common thread throughout all of this... and it's not welcome in America.
