The mayor of our city Sam Adams announced in a press release on November 10th that Saturday night he plans to evict occupiers from the park to be completed by Sunday November 13th. We are having a bike circling of the camp. http://bikeportland.org/2011/11/11/bicycle-swarm-planned-to-protect-occupy-encampment-from-police-61878 We are also having a festival to peacefully protest this. PORTLAND, ORE.– Occupy Portland is responding to the Mayor’s threat of eviction on Saturday night, November 12 and 13, by throwing a Potluck Dinner: a family-friendly event with music and celebration for the entire city. Affinity groups will lead neighborhoods in marches beginning around 2 PM converging on the Occupation from about 5 PM. At least one group is coming from Seattle. There were announcements of support from local and regional groups. The purpose of the Occupy potluck is to bring a significant mass of people together in solidarity with the nonviolent, humanitarian goals of Occupy.

Please help us spread the word. Make this known across the country. We need everyone to observe this so that we can protect our first amendment rights to assembly and speech.

Thank you Portland Occupier
