What ever happened to these politicians talking about the "War on Drugs" in America? I have been recently researching cities that suffer from the highest drugs problems, Crime rates, and Police Brutality in this country, and I found out that these cities all don't have a police random drug policy. Police unions have put a ban on testing. We need the government to go after these police unions and remove there ban on NO police random drug testing. How can we fight a war on drugs when police officers are on drugs.

Please help remove the Ban on NO police random drug testing that many police unions in this country have.

It's time to stop police brutality, Drug problems, and Police Corruption in this country!

its time to stop drug testing on anybody not just police.. cause congress doesnt get drug tested... lawyers dont get drug tested.. bankers dont get drug tested.. why should only working people be subjected to this humility?

This is an important issue to me and something that I am trying to get my city of Modesto, Ca. to get police random drug testing because of officers using drugs, involved with prostitutes, and police brutality.

The cities with the highest crimes rates in America have no police random drug testing. Why is that? It's because drug cartels look for cities with no police random drug testing policy because they can bribe officers with drugs and stuff for protecting.

In California we have a big problem with drug cartels and they're taking advantages of cities with no drug test policy.

Good post. I was unaware of this, as I'm sure most OWSers also are. I assumed drug testing was mandatory for police officers, but apparently not. It makes one seriously wonder about the true mechanics of our so-called 'drug war.'
