Why not recite the pledge of allegiance aloud each morning as a patriotic gesture. Then they will see that you're not really Communists.

I like the idea, but i do not see how it proves we are not communists...

on a side note i prefer the original 1892 version of the pledge:

"I pledge allegiance to my flag and the republic for which it stands: one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all."

Clear and to the point.

No they are not really Communists. They will only be National Socialists.

Oh, that is a really great idea! See, we need more people like you to add to our ideas!

Is this for real?? The pledge of allegiance is creepy and promotes blind obedience to the government. How in the HELL does it make sense to recite something so blatantly authoritarian in nature when you are trying to oppose the system? You know, school kids in the US actually "zeig hailed" the American flag while saying the pledge before Hitler made that gesture unpopular. Now it is the hand over the heart which I find equally creepy and disgusting.

It shows love for your country, not your government

"AND TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR WHICH IT STANDS..."

There is nothing wrong with a republic, it just needs some tweaks.

well i disagree, but that is irrelevant.

the pledge of allegiance was written by francis bellamy, who wanted it to instill in school children a sense of loyalty and obedience to the State in hopes of achieving a society where the means of production are fully controlled by the State.

now what we have is a merger between corporations and State, ie, fascism, but the pledge is still used to instill a sense of loyalty and obedience to the government. i consider it to be basically a cult prayer.
