ello I am a newly graduated physician who thanks to the US medical education system is in debt a quarter of a million dollars. I am now being forced to work 80-100 hour work weeks for what turns out to be minimum wage and am forced to stay up for up to 28 hours straight. If I challange the med ed system they will simply say I am weak and fire me. If I dont complete my residency I can never work (thanks to US medical lobby groups like the ACGME, AMA, etc) and there are no jobs for MDs that havent completed residency so I am basically being forced into slave labor for 3-5 years. All this time my loans are ballooning becuase I dont earn enough to pay them back. I will be paying these loans until the day I die.....

I'll be glad to help, tell me what can I do for you? And If its in my power to do so, let it be done.

This current system only works if you continue to work for the system. Once you see there is a greater meaning to life than being a cog in a wheel its hard to return.

lol , put a volentary tax on buisness , check here to donate 3% of your income to create baby hospitals or improve welfare. ha that would work. or a volentary buisness tax for supporting a better quality of life for our troops when they return.

Yeah becoming a doctor is not as easy as it seems. You are smart enough to know residency is straight from hell. God bless doctors they earn my respect. It will change once you are out of residency. You will then become one of the rich so many here hate. I wish you the best of luck.

That sucks! The medical industry is ridiculous. It costs half as much for healthcare in most of europe.

Hang in there..

Maybe you should have been a plumber.
