why do i have a feeling that there are a few people that are paid by the gov to come to this forum and talk a lot of bs, and discourage others to continue this great movement? is it just me or anyone else feels this way?
There are officially sanctioned trolls, for sure. Be careful, though. Some who seem like trolls may just be fishing for a way to relate to the movement.
Why would they pay people to do a job they've been programmed to do? That's the true tragedy.
Although it wouldn't surprise me.
So the government is programming people and you're occupying Wall Street instead.....?
so from an economic point of view, what would be the benefit to paying someone to create discontent on the OWS forums? This is NOT the OWS movement. The movement is in the streets and parks. I do not believe that the words posted on this forum would make someone leave Zuccotti Park park, do you?
So what is the economic gain? Where it the return in investment?
Or is it that either that people are coming to these forums for a multitude of other reasons.
I wonder what these trolls are getting paid to wreak havoc on this forum. Is the money that good? How can we win you over from the darkside?
The brainwashed wingers don't have to be paid. They are so full of meanness and hatefulness they they relish destroying anything that doesn't look, walk, and talk like them.

Why do you assume it's "government" paying them and not the same entitites that purchase everything else in our system, including the government?
Gawdoftruth is telling it like it is, but we do have some genuine people who really and truly want to see change in this country. An abrupt end to the out of control greed on Wall Street and in D.C. These people can't be silenced no matter how many trolls are here on this forum.
If you want to go to a better moderated site--then go to OWS's other site--TheMultitude.org. Far less nonsense going on there.
I don't know if they are paid or not, but that is certainly what some try to do.

and I cannot understand how so many people could get paid to protest. I KNOW the unions are encouraging people to participate and are actually PAYING some of them.

Exactly. I have yet for someone to give me a clear goal of the movement when asked. Last thread I made, it came to them asking me if I was in it what would my goals be....pathetic.
I have asked here and in person, and have received so many different answers that I came to the conclusion that each person thinks their personal political agenda is the "goal" of OWS.
Hence a directionless "movement" trying to be all things to all people, except those that ask the difficult questions.

You know a movement is failing when you can't handle dissenting opinions in anything close to an intelligent manner. So all the people, including myself, who disagree with OWS, the homeless people, the protesters that are violent, and anyone not OWSis a troll or a paid troll?
